I suffer from underpronation & flat feet. Buying shoes that will allow me to comfortably go on my daily 8 - 10 mile walks has been challenging, to say the least. Holier-than-thou shoe experts swear that it is impossible to have both underpronation AND flat feet. Thus, I was doomed to wear shoes that would help one issue but not the other. Until, by pure happenstance, I read an online article about the best running shoes for underpronation. An honorable mention was given to the Saucony Echelon 7, with a notation that these were also great shoes for those with flat feet. Eureka! Off to zappos.com I go. So here I am. The Echelon 7s get very little love from Zappos customers but I think they're great. I can go on extended walks and not feel like my spine is going to pierce through my neck. It has been a very long time since I've had shoes that support my feet this well. The styling is perfectly innocuous; there is nothing flashy about the Echelon 7s, which is something I greatly appreciate. Criticisms? The overall cushioning could be better, but this is a very minor issue. Overall, I am very pleased with these shoes.

really liking the update. I was a big fan of the 5, but didn't care for the 6 - just didn't feel/fit right. I was hoping the 7 would capture the magic of the 5 and so far it does! Very excited about this. the support and cushioning of the shoe is great mix and better than most everything i've tried in the past. now if i could just get some more exciting colors. they always seem a little too conservative. I would love something with a little more energy.

Out of the box, these shoes fit better than any pair if ever purchased. Super comfortable, nice cushion, perfect sizing. However, inside the shoe near the arch, there’s a piece of fabric that is stitched along one edge, but not the rest. Rather, it’s coated in adhesive to keep it in place. That adhesive is useless, and the fabric rolls up into an irritating bundle, rubbing against your foot all day. This defect occurred day 1. I would try to rip the fabric out, but the stitched edge prevents that possibility, so I might resort to an xacto knife to cut it out.

I was struck by reviewers saying this shoe has a high arch. My foot does not tolerate an arch and this shoe works great. I did take the indole out and replace it with another (also no arch) due to the fact that I felt a bump at the metatarsal area. Now all is good. Try the Sorbathane insole with the 10mm arch basically flat and very comfortable. Takes a tad more space than the one that comes with the shoe, good for my narrow feet. I bought 2 pair as shoemakers seem to change what works well for me too often.

I was a big fan of the 5. The 6 was really bad in comparison; "pain in feet", not true to size. I went back to my local shop and they confirmed feedback was consistent on the 5 vs. 6. They stated the 7 was far better and I agree - although I think the 5 is still more comfortable, definitely no pain like the 6 was giving me. All told, Saucony, bring the 5 back but I can live with the 7 thus far.

I have read reviews about this shoe that were not fair to this brand. I have worn the version 5 for over three years and it has become my knock about shoe for yard work. It still has support and looks almost like new. I returned two pairs of version 6. They just did not feel like the echelon 5 in fit and overall feel. The 7 is spot on in sizing, fit and feel. Its still not a very cool looking shoe but I don't care. I have very flat feet with collapsing arches. I wear braces in this pair and did not require me to buy a larger shoe (Richie Brace) If you have flat feet you need to give this echelon 7 a try. This shoe with my feet fit and feel better than the NB990(just don't look as nice)

These were for hubby, he is very happy with them, it is his usual brand and these lived up to his expectations. He ordered 2 New Balance and this ! Saucony. One of the New Balance is going back but this is a keeper

They were too small, not wide enough, very painful to wear, did not have much cushioning in them making them unable to be worn. I returned them for a refund. Putchased before and they fit good but not this time. I would not order these again. Thank you. Service was excellent!!

Very comfortable...one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've worn recently. I have custom orthotics, and I took out the insole from these Saucony's and put in my orthotics...and all good. No break-in period at all. I'm about to order another pair in another color.

These shoes fit true to size and width. They are great for casual and occasional work shoes as I am on my feet most of the day. I would recommend these for those with supination problems.

I wear doctor prescribed orthotics and it's a real hassel to find a shoe deep enough to accomodate my orthotics which have some thickness to them. Well, these Saucony Echelon 7's give me plenty of depth for my orthotics. I have tried many other brands with no success. I'm very pleased! PS You may notice that I rated the shoe as having "No Arch Support". That's because Saucony Echelon 7's are a "neutral" shoe. Neutral is what you want with custom made orthotics according to foot doctors I have been told. Thanks JD in Indiana

These run a bit long, so I wouldn't size up if you usually do so in running shoes. Nice roomy toe box, but the shoe needs a little more forefoot cushioning Accommodates orthotics well.

Toe box had plenty of room. Comfort was OK, but arch support was minimal. Also, straight sole design not ideal.

7 is noticeably narrower that 6. The EE on 6 is true to width but on 7 it feels and looks like D width to me. Kept 6 and returned 7 which is alright by me as I saved $30.

i would say overall the shoe seemed comfortable. the only thing the style was not the greatest. and it did seem a tad bit narrow for a wide. not enough, that i could not wear it. but would have to wear a thinner sock. but the big thing is the style, kind of dorky looking.

After wearing these several times during the past a month on my treadmill, I could no longer tolerate the discomfort they caused due to the arch support being too high for my low- arch foot. They felt quite different from the Eschelon 6 I bought in 2017, which were quite comfortable.

Since version 5 this product continues to go down hill. My first review of this was good but as I have worn the shoe my mind has slowly changed to a feeling like I payed way to much for this bad shoe. Save your money look at new balance or Brooks. This brand has truly dissolved in to junk

I love these shoes and order them constantly but unfortunately now Zappos is taking way too long to deliver. it should not take over a week to get. That is not the Zappos way. Still do not have when ordered the 27th
