I RECEIVED THIS SHOE TOOK THEM TO A SHOE COBBLER AND HAD THEM APPLY A NEUTRAL COLOR COAT OF POLISH AND WOW AWESOME BEAUTIFUL DRESS SHOE.

These shoes are true to size, I wear a 11D and when trying them on for the first time, they fit my feet like a pair of glove, not like some made-in-china shoe which causes my feet to have blister after puting them on. Over all putting these "Strand" on, my feet are ready to dance...I like them very much, thank you.

Super high quality of shoes, very happy with my 4 pairs i have, i would recommend these to anybody, which i already did.

Talk about elegance and comfort! I thought those two words could not be mixed! These shoes are very elegant and yet comfortable, I bought two other pairs!

I've become a big fan of Allen Edmonds shoes. This is my fourth pair. They look great, feel great, and seem to be durable. Love supporting a company that's been providing jobs in the U.S. for so many years.

I bought these oxfords a couple of weeks ago and I'm glad I did they are very comfortable and made of good quality.I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a great dress shoe and I love the copper color!

I have never felt so compelled to write a review. I have never owned a pair of shoes that were so immediately comfortable. The size is perfect. I am size 15 D which never seems to work out, but these fit fabulously. The packaging is very nice and shipped with no defect. They even included a nice fabric bag which is a nice unexpected touch. The quality is second to none. I doubt there will be any wear in period. Five stars.

This is my 10th pair of Allen Edmonds. I have two Bartlett, Liverpool Chelsea boot, Fifth Avenue, Penny loafer, Higgins Mill, Sullivan Street boot, Bond Street etc. So I feel qualified to review these Strands in Carbon. Of course I was skeptical of the carbon color but I have to say it really is a beautiful shade of almost dark brown with some burgundy undertones. It pairs very well with many different slacks and if you want something just different but still super versatile and classy these fit the bill. It's important to note, as you polish these you can take them in a different direction. Honestly, give them a try if you already have the basic colors covered or you what something just a shade different then everyone else.

Awesome Shoes just miner quality issues but I am completely satisfied with my purchase. If AE addresses the quality control issues and sticks to making a reasonable priced shoe made in the USA there're loyal base will be very Happy! This type of practice made AE the Great Company that it is. I hope we can celebrate another 100 years!

I'm new to Allen Edmonds and really like my cigar Strands, I generally wear a size 8 but got the perfect fit with a size 7.5 and triple e width. I like the brogues toes which gives them a contemporary twist on a conservative cap toe

I love this color. Carbon is rich with purple, grey, and brown undertones that can be seen in different lighting. I find it will work well with my wardrobe. I am a solid size 10.5 D on the 65 last and own several Strands that fit me like a glove. I tried on and had to return four pairs due to inconsistent sizing. Four out of five were very voluminous at the vamp (height) and loose fitting across the toebox. The laces had to be tied to the point where no v-gap was present. I can see that once the cork conforms to my feet, I would certainly be swimming in these shoes. Sure, I could have added an insert or sized down to avoid several returns but this sizing inconsistency concerns me and will make it challenging when ordering again using my brannock size.
