The back straps are somewhat loose when fully tightened. However my feet completely fill out these sandals the longer I am on my feet and so comfortable! I bought another pair in a different shade and I will order a pair for my mom. She loves the look of them. So do I!

These are very comfotable sandals and a great design. I have two pairs in size 10, turquoise and silver lining and both are just what I wanted. Problem is in the adjustable feature. The ribbon that one pulls through to set the looseness/tightness does not stay where I put it. It always loosens up which is very annoying. Instead of returning, I have to find a solution but one solution would b add velcro so that the strap is securely in place (as it is on other Merrrell sandals that I have. In my view, this is an avoidable design flaw and should be fixed.

Although the quality is good, I first shopped Merrell for the added arch support, which this model doesn't really have. My other disappointment is that when the tiny, elastic side strap stretches out, it will no longer fit snugly around my foot.

Just purchased this style and although it has a comfortable foot bed, the lattice straps give no support to the foot and the right adjustable strap always becomes loose when walking. There is no mention online if the plastic clip closures open for easy slip on access. Mine do not. I have several pairs of Merrel sandals, but would not recommend this particular style if you need good support.... which is what Merrel is all about!

I have purchased several Merrell shoes in the past and have been very satisfied with the fit, durability and style. However as I am walking in this particular sandal the strap constantly loosens to the point where I almost loose the shoe. There is also the possibility of tripping if I do not continually tighten the strap.

These are cute sandals, and they are the right length for me. I've had many Merrill sandals before and really like the way Merrell's fit and feel. Not so with these. They are being returned. The toe straps are WAY too loose, and the front of my foot slides around. See the photo. I can fit 2 tubes of lip gloss under the front straps - no problem. Not even tight then.

I love Merrell shoes and have had many pair of Merrell boots, hiking shoes, sneakers and sandals and most of the time I really love them and wear them until they are worn to a nub.These sandals and comfortable and the length is great. The footbed is nice and I like the way the straps lace across my feet, but I can't keep these sandals tight enough and so I find myself adjusting them really frequently to keep them feeling secure on my feet and not ready to come off. I tighten the fastener as much as I can but it always loosens up on me. Were it not for that little issue, they would be perfect. But I wear them in the garden and for short walks. I just wish I could adjust them to stay snug. Lovely shoes, just really loose.

I did not keep these sandals. The size was fine. The problem I had ws with the straps that went across the foot. There was no was to adjust them and they stood up off my foot about 1/3". The back strap was adjustable but I had to cinch it all the way to the end before the sandal felt secure.

I love Merrell's - I own boots, mocs, and sandals - the Merrell last fits my feet to perfection. My last pair of Merrell sandals were fantastic - I wore them daily, from morning until night during the warmer months, for three years! I'm a walker and I was a teacher - I used these HARD. I was hoping for more of the same Merrell magic, but no luck. I love how these look but there it ends. I dislike the fit - the clasps do not keep the straps tightened. I really dislike the foot bed - it attracts dust and small particles that change it from comfortable to annoyingly uncomfortable in a hurry. I change out of them as soon as I get home from my walk. Disappointed.

My last pair of Merrell sandals were fantastic. I wore them almost daily in the spring and summer for three years. They still look good but it was time to replace them. I had hoped that these would be great too. They aren't. They are comfortable, as all Merrell's footwear is, but I don't think these will last as well. I do not like the material covering the footbed - it attracts dirt. I thought I'd love the strap fastener but I don't - you clip it and can tighten the straps - but they immediately slip back to default position. It's ok, because I have a high instep so they are just a little loose - however this would be a problem for anyone with a regular instep. So I like the sandals - I just don't love them.

The sandals are comfortable for use around the house but I continuously have to tighten the straps. I would not recommend this sandal for long periods of use without some adjustments being made.

Good looking sandals but the medium is wider that expected. Doesn't hug the foot except at the ankle. Feeling like the foot could slip right through. Afraid to buy the narrow for fear that the ankle strap will be too tight. There is no adjustment on that strap.

Upon trying them on they were very comfortable and thought I would love them. However upon walking I found the soles to be very slippery which is odd for Merrell sandals, they're usually not like this. I am returning them because I feel like I could slip and fall in them.

The sandal looks good but the clips are not as secure as Velcro fastenings and the strap loosens quickly as I walk along. Disappointing.

Sadly, these are not nearly as adjustable as I had hoped so they will be coming back to you.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for instyle and comfort! Like others I find they loosen as I walk- which is really frustrating! Has there been a fix discovered? I'm thinking about getting a little Velcro to help but any other ideas? I probably re-tighten every 30 min or so.

I really wanted to love these. I am about to take off for a trip to Thailand and have been on the hunt for good sandals I can do a lot of walking in. I would echo what others have stated, while they are very comfortable, they only have the one buckle clasp that you can tighten which does seem to loosen when you walk. They were a bit sloppy on me before walking just around the house and I noticed they were, after only a few minutes of only in and out of the house from kitchen to grill making dinner, they were much looser. And the soles of these are slippery. I had one of these on with one of the Around Town Luxe Backstrap and just on the wood floor of my house, the Around Town was much more sure footed(although the Around Town was SUPER hot after wearing them on a hot and humid evening in Minnesota, of all places). I was hoping the District Muri Lattice was the trick, but I think it is back to the drawing board again...

Love the look. Needed to return because of a faulty clasp and new ones had the same problem. The clasp strap slips while walking needing constant tightening. I ended up sewing it in place. So disappointed.

Cute sandal, and I love my Merrill's, but the straps on these won't stay; they loosen up as I walk and I have to stop and tighten them.

I really wanted to like these sandals! At first try on they are super comfy. The footbed is great. But as I have worn them the straps do not stay tight! I used them a lot on the river, and I am constantly having to tighten the straps so they don't fall off my feet. Super sad that they won't stay tight on my feet.

I have alot of Merrell sandals and shoes. I always order size 9. This pair is so big it hangs on my foot. The sandal is really pretty but I'm sending them back.

Purchased this sandal last year. While I liked the style and comfort of the sandal I would not recommend this item as the strap continually loosened. I could not walk a half block and the strap would be so loose I would have to stop to tighten or I might have tripped or even walk out of the shoe.
