These hiking boots are quite comfortable. I love that the uppers on them are made of a flexible, breathable, yet durable material and the soles are sturdy, reliable Vibram soles. With all of my foot issues I need the support of a good base but also the flexibility of the upper. The reason I am giving them 4 stars is two fold: first, I have not owned them long enough to give them a true trial while hiking - I would not want to mislead anyone; second, these boots ran a bit long (but not too wide). When I put on a thick hiking sock my feet did not slip around in them but I feel as though they would have been better a touch shorter.
