Love the Echo fabric. The quarter zip makes this a very versatile piece that can range from mid layer to outer layer, depending on conditions.

The Echo fabric is amazingly light and breathable, while still offering good sun protection. The zip neck enables you to opt for full coverage of the neck with it up, or some added ventilation when down. The fit is slim but not form fitting, so you can wear it after your ride or hike without feeling like your trying to look like the Rock. So far the fabric seems durable enough, but time will tell.
Mine is the 2021 version, I'll be interested to compare to the new improved version should I purchase another at some point. One thing I'd like to see is a small patch of Ferrosi soft shell material on the elbow and forearm, as this seems to be the spot I seem to wear and tear.

Bottom line, this is a really nice, comfortable shirt. It breathes well and feels good. What more can you ask for? I was not disappointed in this purchase!

I wore this for a skin up Ski Cooper. I sweated bit on the way up, but the shirt dried out very quickly on our run down and it was dry for our next ascent. I'm looking forward to wearing it for more adventures this winter.

Echo Quarter Zips and Echo Hoodies are my first choice for running in all seasons, skiing, hiking, etc. Occasionally I pick up another one to keep things fresh, though they seem to last a couple of years as long as you hang them up to dry.
I miss the little zippered pocket on the lower back from some earlier Echos but did not always use it anyway. Otherwise, this continues to be a great look, fit, moisture-wicking and a complete lack of skin irritation even on a long run or wet day in the forest.

Great to block the unforgiving Arizona sun and stay cool. The sleeves are the perfect length for me. They don't ride up when on the bike like a lot of others. The material isn't going to stand up to snags from mesquite trees etc but I can't imagine anything this light will. The collar gives the neck some much needed protection from the sun when paired with a wide brimmed hat.

The best! The fit and weight are perfect. So many sun shirts are not thin enough and end up being too hot. The Echo line nails the thickness though.

Nice, soft feeling fabric. Sleeves could be an inch longer, but I have monster long arms. Wish the UPF was 30, 15 is marginal for long days in intense sun, but that's probably a fair trade off between sun protection and a fabric that is light enough and cool enough to keep on in the heat.

Already wore it a few times, once on a boat on a cold day. Kept me warm and fit perfectly. I'm 6'2, about 185 with an athletic build and purchased a large.

Size medium is a great fit for my 6'0" 180# athletic build, slim fit and the length of the sleeves and body are perfect. My first time wearing this was rim 2 rim 2 rim in the Grand Canyon. Worked perfect for the cool 4am start, I continued to wear it through the bottom of the canyon (about 70 degrees) with the sleeves pushed up, then it was great again for the blowing snow on the North Rim.

First, the echo is the softest shirt I've ever owned. It's a great piece just for the comfort. It works well over a t shirt in mild conditions (50s and 60s), and also does well as a layer on colder days. Anything below freezing and it's probably not going to do anything for you unless it's a base layer. Much lighter and thinner than Patagonia capalene. It's think enough that if there is writing or a logo on a t shirt underneath you will see it (on the pebble version). I have yet to try it in anything warmer than mid 60s, but I think it will do very well as a sun blocker on warmer days - a great alternative to a PFG button down or something similar. All around a great and versatile piece. Sizing was true to size for me.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it! He's a big fan of the Echo material in general and really likes it as a quarter zip. It's light and breathes well, but also provides and extra layer and sun protection.

I've worn this for both running and riding and it's really done a great job as a next to skin base layer for me. It's super lightweight but handled well as my only layer for a mid 40s running shirt and the zipper helped me dump heat when I needed to. I'll be wearing this shirt year round.

Can't have enough of these for running in 40s and 50s. The zipper helps regulate the temperature. Love them.

Perfect upper for me as I tend to run very hot. Keeps me comfortable out running or doing high output until it's just below freezing. Nice long zip to vent as temps warm as well.

This a pretty light 1/4 zip, but not too flimsy. The fabric is a light grid, which provides more warmth than other similar products, while still being light weight.

Love OR's Echo line of shirts. I live the van life in my Sprinter, and Echo shirts are perfect for hand washing and drying while on the road.

I am a fly fisherman and in addition to OR, wear Simms, Patagonia, and Orvis products. OR's Echo fabric is THE LIGHTEST, MOST BREATHABLE in the world. These shirts are made to handle a Death Valley ultrathon (in Summer). Quite simply, you will not find a better shirt for hot weather activities and exertion than the Echo.
