I bought this to use as a school bag (I teach at university), and it seems sturdy and to have all the right pockets in the right places. No water bottle pocket because of the zipper expansion, which may be a dealbreaker. As another reviewer mentioned, the straps are just a hair too long—they should be shortened 2-3 inches. The one thing about Baggallini bags that I do not like is the laptop compartment is only padded on one side and the way one secured it is with a Velcro closure attached to the thin non-padded fabric. If they figure out how to fix this design flaw I will be so happy. Solid bag.

My favorite feature is the light blue interior - makes it very easy to see what is inside. Fabric seems durable and the shoulder straps seem to have a bit of padding to them. On the downside, there is not a good place to hold my wireless mouse - the slip pockets are too deep and too narrow. I also don't like the placement of the pencil pockets in a separate section. I had a hard time figuring out where to put my charger, portable phone battery, and ear buds - ended up just letting them flop around in the same section where the pencil pocket it - even though that was a very narrow section. Overall depth is good but doesn't need to be expandable for my use. The big disappointment for me was that there was not a hard floor and the sides weren't stiff enough to hold the bag's shape when it was full. The bag looks great sitting on the chair, but when I pick it up, the top and bottom sag and it looks awful. Am returning this bag, sadly.

I am so bummed! This bag is everything I’ve been looking for in a carryon laptop tote with one BIG exception...it does NOT fit a Dell 15” laptop. Yes, I am shocked. This bag is large and roomy and has nice long shoulder straps that fit over a winter coat and lots of great organization, but fails for the one thing that is non negotiable, it can’t fit my laptop. The description say the laptop compartment is 16.5 “ but this is not so. And very disappointing because there is room at each end of the compartment to make it wider (see pics) but instead this is wasted space. Not sure if Baggallini user tested this bag but made a big mistake because I’m sure many company issued standard 15” laptops would have loved to travel in this bag, but it will not be so....boo. Otherwise, the style and function of Baggallini is there so if you have a smaller laptop, this would be a good choice. I agree with another reviewer in that it could use a more sturdy floor but that is not a game changer for me. The search continues...

This bag was HUGE and much too large for me. I am looking for something to carry every day but which has a padded pocket for my iPad in its case when I travel. The bag was also somewhat floppy and unstructured. I sent it back right away and am still looking.

I am so glad I purchased this bag. Originally my plan was to pack in a small rolling bag and use this for things I wanted to keep close while flying to LA California to meet up with my children and my granddaughter for a weekend at Disneyland. I was flying a non-stop on United. When I found out that I could only have ONE bag ONLY and it had to fit UNDER THE SEAT I nearly cried. How was I going to be a fun grandma with such limited room for packing. Where is Hermione Granger when you need her?... OH YEA,,,, She works for BAGGOLINI now.... I had already pared down my clothes to 15 pounds (including the weight of the suitcase) Opting for WOOLX shirts and a spare pair of jeans with a thin down puffy coat....I was going from cold winter Ohio to sunny California and needed a range of body coverage. I pulled out my new 'baggalini' overnight and unzipped the expansion zipper. By using compression sacks, zip lock baggies and travel cubes was able to fit...a bago backpack, snacks, toiletries, an extra coat and rain shell, umbrella, 2 blankets for the ground to watch the parade at Disney, a towel for after Pirates, First Aid Kit, 2 shirts, jeans, swim suit, PJs, undies, socks, sweater, gloves, hat, scarf/blanket. autograph book and pen, glow sticks (for the granddaughter), lanyards with ticket pouches for the family, sunglasses, collapsable drinking bottle with a light, phone, wallet, battery backups x2, charging cables, and my Kindle Fire. The only thing I sacrificed was an extra pair of shoes...but I think I can live in my Voinics (light weight and well supported). Guess I won't be buying any souvenirs, but at least I will have the memories of having my whole family together for a couple days. I haven't seen my granddaughter in over a year and half. So BAH HUMBUG United I'm going to get this party started despite your un-friendly skies. LOVE YOU BAGGALINI !!! Hugs and kisses to the designer of this GREAT carry on.

The color of the bag is beautiful. I wanted a big bag to carry all my things, but I think the shoulder length to bag ratio makes the bag look strange on a shorter person like me (I'm 4'11). I really like the look of the bag itself, but maybe if the straps were different it would look better. I've carried bigger bags that are more flattering. The expandable component of the bag makes the bag look bloated at the bottom, even when it's not completely filled and if you don't fill in up in a balanced way it falls over because the bag does not have sturdier support at the bottom. The straps do not have enough cushion or support. So if you were to carry all the things this bag will allow you to carry (you can definitely fit a lot), your arms would probably ache or become marked from the weight of the straps. I recommend you buy a cushion pad for the handles. Overall, I was not completely satisfied with the bag and will be returning it.

I used this bag for travel because it can fit under the seat; I carried my laptop, ereader, medications, water bottle, journal, and sundry items. I also use it for work. It is very roomy and all the pockets helps me stay organized. I wish it had an exterior bottle pocket, but I could fit one 20oz and one 12 oz bottle in the bag with room to spare. It is expandable, but so far I haven't needed to use that great feature. My one concern regards how much weight it can handle. One day at work, I carried a textbook and stack of papers (weighing at least 1 pound) in addition to my usual folder, novel, two water bottles, and pouch of personal items, and other sundry things. When I hung the bag from my shoulder, I heard a crack that could have been a thread breaking. The bag didn't fall apart, but I have noticed cracking on the straps where the two sides are sealed together. This can hold a lot, but I would not say it can carry a lot of heavy items. It could be an overnighter if what you're packing is clothing, not dumbbells. After using this bag twice a week for four months, I'm happy with how it has held up, despite the cracking on the handles. Also, my protein drink leaked inside and was able to wipe it off even after it had dried. Really pleased with this purchase. I bought the silver, and it's a nice mid-grey with a subtle shimmer, and it goes with everything.

I needed something that could act as a laptop bag and purse, so I don't feel like a pack mule going into the office everyday. This bag is exactly what I needed! It's cute and has plenty of room for everything I need for a day in the office. Having several of the little Baggallini organizer pouches and wallet, makes it really easy to move from my regular backpack to this tote! Has made my transition of going back to office a little easier. LOVE all my Baggalini's!

Great bag for overnight, reminds me of a "carpet bag" style. Will go well with my carry-on. Lots of pockets!

This bag makes international travel with carry on luggage possible. It hold so much and fits on a rolling suitcase with the sleeve. Just ordered one for my daughter, my mother and daughter in-laws for Christmas. It is big enough to fit a snorkel and mask, my other baggallini bag with my camera, my day purse, a few outfits, travel books and more. Yet fits easily under the seat in front of me with my rolling carry on in the overhead.

I bought this as a computer bag and love it. It's good looking and useful!! I have bought countless bags and this my favorite one.

This bag has so many uses. Can be a briefcase, overnight bag, weekend bag, day bag, etc. even a baby bag. It has so many pockets and storage and iPad/computer area.,stylish and useful.

I've been looking for a bag for a long time that was large enough to carry everything I want to bring on a plane - sweater, toiletries, Ipad, snacks and even stow my purse if they only allow one carry on. Plus lots of pockets to organize stuff. And looks stylish enough to use every day when. This bag is perfect! It even slides over your wheeled case handle. I wish I had found this years ago!

I bought this for my granddaughter who graduates this weekend from college. She is a swimmer and hopes to travel, It's perfect for someone not certain what's next, but full of adventure.

I needed a travel bag that would fit under the airplane seat. (I recently broke my arm and could not pull my usual under-the-seat bag.) After a LOT of research (I had no idea there were so many bags out there), I opted for this. It holds my big ol' laptop snugly and safely, as well as notepads, a snack, and my crossbody bag. Lots of pockets to get organized, too! I did not over stuff it, but you could easily pack clothes for overnight, I would think! It seems really sturdy and durable. It's definitely pretty and fits over my handle on my roller bag perfectly. This was a great investment for my travel and probably for work, too!

I bought this bag after borrowing a similar one from a family member. It is so absolutely perfect for airline travel: carries a computer easily, organizes all belongings, fits easily under the seat, easy to carry or hook on your carry-on suitcase, attractive, and made from resilient material. I like it so much I may have to get a second one now that new colors are available! I absolutely love the way you can organize all your items in this bag, making everything easy to locate - and it holds a lot!

I searched hours on the net to find a bag that was larger than most totes and had organizing features. I am delighted! Most large totes have one bit space, which makes it difficult to find items. Plus, this bag has a bottoms zipper that allows for even more room if needed. It easily slides on top of my wheeled carry-on bag. It is well constructed, attractive, and I can tell it will last for years. Loads of outside pockets make cell phones, glasses and ID readily accessible. I love this bag so much I ordered a second one for a backup!

The Midnight Blossom print looks very professional and is really just beautiful to look at. Can't believe it took me so long to purchase a nice work bag, but I can't imagine it could be any better. I'm 5'6" and the length on the handles are a great length to go over my shoulder easily. Zippers smooth, and the bag is big enough for all that I need to carry when I'm working off-site. I just slipped my original plain handle open tote (which was getting too heavy and cumbersome to carry as a tote) into the big section of the bag to give the bottom more support and to keep my binder, clipboard, papers in order and my 16-17 inch laptop fit inside also. Still have room for my water bottle, another must-have work pouch and receipt book, put my paperclips, pens, appointment cards in the wristlet to keep them coralled. A few DVD's and a Devotional book fit also. Even had room for a breakfast sandwhich, too. Great easy access phone pocket, as well. I will enjoy this for years. It's really well made and attractive while still being big enough and functional without appearing overly large on me! And I don't feel weighed down anymore. Very happy with this purchase. I'm happy to not have to stress over rain getting on my computer and paperwork. Or having to carry two separate bags on days I need my computer! I am enjoying both my work and play days so much more since finding Baggallini!

I have been in need of a bag that didn't fall off my carry on roller bag that was big enough for all my stuff. Like my laptop. A purse. Reading material. A sweater for the plane. Pockets for my phone and passport. Snacks. Even a pair of last minute shoes. This one is great because it expands (and I need it). The only drawback is it doesn't have a water bottle holder on the outside because it would interfere with the zipper I think. But it fits inside. Love the color too!

Baggallini never disappoints! I bought the overnight expandable laptop tote for my upcoming trip to Africa. I've been looking for just the right bag to use as my 'personal carryon' bag. This bag is perfect. The expandable feature and the many zippered and laptop sections will be ideal for keeping everything organized and at my fingertips. I purchased the eggplant color because it was less expensive! And again Baggallini didn't disappoint in that area either. The color is beautiful. And I love that the lining is a light color makes finding things so much easier.

I bought this a short while ago, but haven't used it yet. A friend had one and I was so impressed with how much room there was, all the pockets it has and the quality workmanship I had to have one. Love the eggplant color!
