Why fix it if it ain't broken? Please Mizuno, your 1st and 2nd iterations were great. Good job on the shoelaces, but please stop changing things that don't need fixing! Also, why is the prophecy half a size too small now? First time I've had to return to get a size 9 (consistently an 8.5 in all other prophecies)...

Brought for running. Found this shoe to be very stiff. It's a comfortable shoe but did not like for my running.

I expected spring and cushion, but these shoes feel stiff and somewhat heavy, and my knee has started aching since I got them. Maybe I just have to break them in? I'm running about 20 miles a week, and I'm really uncertain if I will continue to run in them. They do feel good when I walk, but I'm not sure if they are the running shoes for me. What I do like: they fit my feet well and are comfortable to wear in general. They are more stable and structured than the Wave Sky (but the Wave Sky is way more comfortable to run in).

Second pair I ordered...went up a half size and the length was good. However, it's still extremely tight over the forefoot. Returning. Seems like a nice shoe, just not for me.

Returned first pair...went up a half size and the length was perfect. However, it's still extremely tight over the forefoot. So I'm returnign this pair, too. Seems like a nice shoe, just not for me. Disappointed.

I love how these look, however I ended up returning them because they felt like they ran about a 1/2 size too small. I have always bought size 9 in Mizuno (usually I'm an 8.5) and they fit like a dream. The second I put them on I could tell they would be too small for running. Would've liked to exchange for a 9.5 to see if those worked but paying for return shipping, potentially twice, was a turn off. Will try again when I can go to a store! All the best to you guys < 3

I have been wearing Mizuno exclusively for 20+ years and have loved every pair except these. From the first time I ran in them I had a resurgence of plantar fasciitis. I have had them for 2 months and still experience the same pain. I've worn Creation, Enigma, and Rider all with great comfort and will apparently need to return to them. Love the look but the ride is not cushioned or supportive. I always take a 9 in compared to 8.5 in other shoe brands/styles and these are the same.

I have learned I need to go up at least one size from my casual footwear, so I ordered accordingly and these fit as expected. However, they do not have enough arch support for me so I had to use an insert. Once the insert was in place (having removed the innersole that came with the shoes), they felt a bit too snug for me so I will be returning them.

Had a pair of Prophecy 3's and loved them, thought I'd try these. I wear them to work and they aren't what I expected. I'm feet are killing me wish I could get a refund.

I do love the shoe extremely comfortable true to size great for running the only thing I don't like about the shoe is the bottom seems extremely slippery when I'm on my treadmill, I feel like I'm sliding all around.

my foot is high and the tongue of these shoes is stuck and it bothers me, the lele mold is smaller compared to the other brands, so everything was very uncomfortable and for this reason I am making the return. Thanks.

The newer model is very noise and not comfortable at all. It's sneaked very loud. So disappointed! I've been wearing prophecy for over 8 years and never this was a problem.

I purchased these as I thought the design and claims that it helped absorb shock would help with my shin splints. They didn't make them WORSE, but they also didn't make them better, so I can't really justify the $200+ price when my $130 ghosts perform the same.

The shoe is very firm and very supportive as a running or walking shoe.

although this shoe was super supportive, it was both too small and too firm. Ordered another 1/2 size up but squashed small toe. Too bad it does not come in wide.

Wow. I was super excited to get shoe. This pair ran way too short. I've never had my toe hit front of shoe in size 8 (I'm a 7.5/8). Also pinched baby toe. The support on this shoe seems amazing. Hoping to get bigger or wider size b/c I think it has support I need with high arch.

these run a little small and the return/exchange process could be simpler and more convenient. I'll update my review when I get the half size larger for my wife

This version doesn't provide the comfort and support as previous versions have. I wear them almost daily and after 3 months they feel like they are already breaking down.

I am on my feet all day. I typically use ASICS Nimbus, but decided to try these out. I cannot give these more than 2 stars, but only because they run small and my shoes did not fit. Despite doing the survey to find my size, the shoes were too small. I am going to get another pair then do another review.

I ordered these because my go to wave creation 20 Mizunos have been out of stock in my size for a while. For the price I had high expectations. I am very disappointed. I'm a size 7 and always order an 8 in Mizuno. I think they made a mistake at the factory because these feel like a size 6. I have a narrow foot but order medium width for running shoes to allow room for my feet to swell. The toe box is so tight my toes were fell asleep by mile 2 and by mile 6, I was in agony and had to limp home. The shoe material feels cheap and very inflexible. Sadly I am now stuck with an overpriced running shoe that is unwearable for me.

Second shoe I tried. I went a half size up and the length was perfect. However, increasing the size did nothing for the tightness over the forefoot. Returning. So disappointed.

I have worn older versions of the Wave Prophecy shoe for some time. They are extremely comfortable and offer tremendous support. I was looking forward to upgrading to the newest one. Unfortunately the Prophecy 8 is much too narrow and I had to return. Please go back to your previous width or offer a wide with option.

These were so disappointing. I've been wearing Mizunos for years, but they changed something to the sneakers. They are no longer comfortable. I went back to Merrells.
