These are really comfortable! Love the strapping-system on this new version! I do have the Teva Terra Fi 4 and I like'em but I've always been kinda bothered by the "bulkiness" (especially in appearance) of the straps. The straps on these, although there is "more" of'em, are much less bulky and are a nice soft nylon. I will warn you, however, that the straps might be a bit on the "short" side, as far as accommodating a "meatier", high-volume foot. They work very well for mine, being thin, low-volume. This is a rare find for me, as I almost always find straps on sandals in general (of any brand or style) to be too long (so won't tighten down enough) for my bony feet. My feet are 9.5 and C/D width and the size 9 in these fit in length and width perfectly.

I agree with another reviewer that if you have "bulkier" or higher profile feet, these may not work for you. I have thin, small, lower profile feet and these fit amazing for me without having to cinch the straps so tight they drag. Keep this in mind if you are purchasing. I am a normal size 8 and they fit perfect. They are a bit bulky, but not horribly so. I bought them for hiking which is what they are really made for anyway. The straps keep your feet very snug and in place.

I wanted to like these, as they seemed like the perfect shoe, if I could just get them on. The straps are incredibly hard to adjust. I have hallux rigidus, so putting my foot into a shoe HAS to be easy. I can't bend at the ball joint and press down. So in the end, I couldn't get my foot into the shoe, not because the shoe was the wrong size, but because the strapping was so hard to use that I couldn't get my foot into them without pressing down on the ball joint. Straps are not easy to work with AT ALL.

I could not engineer the straps so that they elongated to go over the top of my foot *and* to line up with the velcro fastener at the end. Straps are just plain too short for the high arched foot and provide no arch support.

These sandals are horrible ! I spent to much on them for my trip to Maui they r beautiful shoes however it is one continues strap and so when you take them on and off they have to be reset to fit each time. To top it off there r plastic pieces under toe strap on sides and gave me blisters, to tight and small with some wierd bump in the back to shove your toes into the front to add to the blister ruined my walks in Maui and had no sandles for walking after 2 days .

Super stylish design. Loved the wine color. Not comfortable for my feet and strange design features. Seems designed for very narrow feet, difficult to adjust and you have to do it everytime you put the shoes on. Once the toes and foot have enough room there is barely enough Velcro to secure at the ankle. Also poor placement of the rubber brand tag, rubs at the ankle.

This pair of Teva Terra Fl 5 Sport is defective. The closing strap is not long enough to even close. The strap is far too short to wear.

This is a very sturdy, comfortable, well made sandal. I purchased these to wear walking our dog, hiking but also to wear with a casual skirt for work. Unfortunately, it is was just too wide and bulky for my taste.

Very nice looking and comfortable but I had the same problem with straps; not long enough to adjust. One of the plastic loops pressed hard on my foot just walking in the house. So disappointed, back they go.

These have an awesome footbed, great arch support but all of those straps make these walking sandals a pain to get into! Going back...

These secured my feet well but the base was rather clunky. Returned these in hopes of finding something lighter.

I've worn these hiking the past week in Rocky Mountain National Park. They were great for our moderate hikes (didn't do anything too strenuous this trip). I wore them for a couple of days prior to the trip to break them in, but I don't think they needed it too much. Love these!

This is my second pair with this footbed. I have horrible plantar fasciitis and these are the only sandals that don't make my heels hurt!!!

Well-designed, the right padding in the right places and tons of support. My feet blister so easily, I'm over the moon to have found these sandals! No break-in period, just one strap to adjust and you're good to go!

I tried this sandal since it has a similar foot-bed to the Hurricane XLT2. The foot-bed is comfortable like I expected so that's a win. I like the look when wearing the sandals with the crossing side to side straps look. The pads on either side of the toes look a little weird but they do make the toes comfortable. The actual straps however are a little uncomfortable. I am aware, can feel the straps laying on the top of my feet the whole time I wear the sandals. The straps don't cut in to my skin or feel tight but nevertheless, the top of my feet has the sensation the straps are there. I have other sandals that top straps are less noticable. I would prefer not to be aware of them.

This Teva is such a great style, with wonderful support features. I tried it on 3 different times in the house, thinking I would keep it, but they just weren't as comfy as the Keen Newport. Also, the strap system is a bit annoying to get into each time. They should have more length to play with, as others have said. The width was fine, tho, for my wider forefoot.

I really wanted to love these. I really like the style, but like others have commented, the straps are just too short. As you can see from my photos, the straps don’t fully cover the black Velcro area. These are super comfortable and cushiony, but because the straps have no give, the shoe is tight and narrow. Haven’t decided if I’m going to return or not. But beware of short straps and tight fit. I think if you have a narrow/slim foot, they may fit perfectly. I’m regular in shoe width, I don’t wear narrow or wide shoes. I hope that makes sense.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that the strap is just not big/long enough. I don't believe I have overly large feet but I had to widen the foot strap to the point that the velcro could just close. You have to be careful when tightening the strap with the one plastic loop that sits mid-foot - I pinched/pulled skin at this spot several times. The foot bed was super comfy. Sizing was true. Overall look of the shoe on made my foot look overly wide. May not be an issue with a smaller foot but with a 9.5-10 shoe, you are aware of these things. :-) What happened to the Teva brand that used to provide padding at the connections/buckles and super adjustable shoes?
