Any doubts I had about the shoe quickly cleared the moment I put them on. I wore them right out of the box for an outing and they didn't bother me in the slightest. The leather is soft and supple - it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing shoes! They look and feel like they are well made. I purchased boat shoes last year from another well known company and they don't feel half as good as these do! I bought these in black and they are so comfortable, I'm going back and buy them in brown too. They will definitely be my work and casual shoes for the summer!

These are great! I returned the first pair because they were miss matched, the grain in the leather was way off, but this pair match up!

Gold Cup gives me the arch support I need. A/O as usual does not disappoint

Great shoe, soft comfortable foot bed and lining. Rich pebbled leather - jet black. Non-marring sole. Very classy - top of the class!

Over the course of this past year, I purchased 5 pairs of shoes and sneakers. All of them fit my normal size 9, except this pair. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I wore them with socks several times, hoping they would loosen up. It didn't happen. I'm considering donating them to a local shelter, and possibly ordering another pair in 9.5. Given the price of the Gold Cup shoes, I'm just not sure if that's the best choice.

I ordered an Gold Cup 11W shoe. I already have an 11M pair that I wear all the time, but the new shoes are actually tighter than my old Medium pair. The soles of both pairs are exactly the same size. My old pair of Gold Cup's have a leather lining the length of the floor bed, new ones only the rear half of the shoe.

Worn for a week and already the top of the insoles needs to be re-glued. Very comfortable before this issue but disappointing.

Not as well made as they used to be. After a month some of the inside stitching is coming apart.

I have always bought the Mako 2 eye boat shoes in the past. I tried to order a new pair, but Sperry did not have my size (13W) in stock for months. I finally decided to spend the extra money and buy the gold cup Rivington. It was a mistake in my opinion. The Mako boat shoe is alot more comfotable than the rivington.

I bought some of these when the bond film came out the leather was really really soft and heavily grained. I ordered the new batch and they were like different shoes the leather was much harder and the leather not as nice. Really disappointed with the later purchase.

I purchased this shoe in a wide width. This was a very nice looking boat shoe and I would have loved to keep them, however one of the shoes felt tighter near the top side seam which made it uncomfortable. Fortunately, I was able to exchange them for the gloved tan leather boat shoe and they were a better fit.

Runs small

I've worn these shoes a few times and disappointed in the quality of the shoe insert. For a gold cup I would expect the shoes to be very comfortable but the lip of the insert rolls and is uncomfortable.

The image makes it look like it has a cross lace, meaning you don't have to tie the laces. They tuck the laces inside the shoe for all their product photography. Obviously, they do that, because it looks better. Attached is a photo of what the shoe looks like out of the box. If I can't figure out how to create the cross lace look, I'm going to return it.

I have had a pair of leather lined Gold Cup but can only wear them in cold weather. They keep too much heat in.
