My review is a stark contrast to most others, as I found this shoe to be huge! I have the black pair of California Pumas and I find them to be a bit narrow and snug at my usual size (6.5) Just pulling this pair out of the box, they even looked particularly large. When I tried them on, my heel walked totally out of them. I double checked the sizing to make sure I had gotten the correct size (6.5) and that is what the label said. I like the look of the shoe, but they were way too big to keep.

Do not size up in this shoe. I am a true 8.5 and based on other reviews ordered a size 9. They are at least a half size too big. Also, in the few minutes that I tried them on and wore them around my house they made a red mark on the front of my ankle from the tongue. It is very stiff and rubs against the front of your ankle. I will not reorder in a smaller size. There are too many other brands of white tennis shoes I can try.

As one other person indicated, the heel is very shallow and therefore slips when you walk. The shoe is also very stiff, but offers good support. Would have kept it had it not been for the heel slippage.

Runs very small. Tried on with thin socks and could barely get my foot in. Returning

I really wanted these shoes to fit me, but oh well.... I have fairly narrow feet, but they were to narrow for me. Also the heel part is very shallow, it didn’t hug the whole heel and once I start walking it keeps slipping off because the shoe itself is very hard. The insole was extremely soft though. Bummer, loved the way they looked.

I really wanted to love these shoes and I would have if they had a normal tongue. The tongue feels like it is made from hard plastic and it doesn't bend at all. It is actually very painful to walk even a few steps in these shoes because of the very hard stiff piece that pokes you in the spot where the top of your foot connects to the front of your ankle. The shoes themselves are really cute and very comfortable, but the tongue issue was an immediate deal breaker. They are going back.
