I received this in the mail and immediately flew with it the next day. Overall, I checked it with the airlines three times in the last week (United, Southwest, and Delta), including two of these three flights having connections. The bag is still in great shape! It's a textured material, so you don't have to worry about scuffing a gloss finish. That said, I do see a few scuff marks, but I'm not that concerned since I'd prefer it to be functional. No indication of any damage yet. This is my first hard-side bag and I really like it, especially how it opens like a soft-side rather than the book-style. I didn't realize when I purchased that there is the overweight indicator in the side handle, but it seems accurate (at least while underweight, didn't test with it being overweight, so take that for what it's worth). My bag was 38-40 pounds each time stuffed to the max and expanded - I have never had a checked bag that light and I attribute it to this bag. The handles also seem well built, but time will tell. My other bag has metal bolted handles that were starting to come apart from the bag, but this bag seems to have rubber built-in type ones possibly. The wheels roll well which is good because that was my main reason in purchasing a new bag. It's unbelievably nice to have 4 wheels compared to 2. The only place I had problems rolling was at home on carpet (the flat airport carpet was fine though). The pockets inside in the lid are very roomy, but of course whatever you put in there will subtract from the overall capacity of the main compartment. The tie-down straps inside are two pieces that snap together in the middle to form an "X" over your contents. My old baggage had pieces on each side that connected, but nothing for the middle, so this "X" design feels more sturdy. Even while stuffed to the brim and expanded, I never had an issue zipping it as it is not overly rigid. Also as a note, if you're hesitant about purchasing this online sight unseen, I noticed that these Delsey bags seem to be in a lot of department stores, just listed as different style. I didn't really see differences though other than color offerings. Zappos always has the best price and shipping speed if you're open to all colors!!

I'm a traveling artist, so I always look for the luggage that can hold up on my many travels. Cruise Lite does that for me. I have traveled with Delsey for 10 + years and they have never let me down in terms of quality, style, and toughness. I look forward to my next art show in Vermont, so I can bring my big suitcase along for the ride!

We checked this luggage for our last extended city trip, and it definitely helped us to spend a seamless journey. I will recommand this item this product especially for its unique top lid opening.

First off, let me just say this bag looks even better in person! It has this sort of matte sheen to it that looks really masculine, yet it's durable and it feels amazing. My family and I (wife, 2 toddlers) were able to pack everything we needed for our weekend vacation in just this and a carry-on bag. Must say, I had my doubts, but Delsey has earned themselves a customer for life!
