I cannot stress how much I love these shoes. I have had foot pain my entire life because I have a more "natural" shaped foot (widest at the toes) and so my foot does not fit at all into conventional shoes. For the first time in my life, I own a shoe that is the shape of my foot! I've worn them for a week now and have gotten so many compliments on my cool shoes, and people asking where I got them. I walk 3 km to work, stand on a concrete floor for 8 hours and walk home again. I used to wear super cushioned runners like my coworkers suggested, but would still hobble home with broken feeling feet and have to prop them up on a couch arm for an hour before they felt good enough to walk on again. I've been wearing these shoes (which have no arch support) for a week now to work and have noticed that my foot pain is completely gone. I've been able to walk home, throw on my running shoes and pound out a fast 5k run after work this week, which would have been unthinkable in the past. Seriously, I cannot stress how fantastic vivobarefoot is. I will be a lifelong supporter of this brand.

I love the look and feel of these Chelsea boots. They are true barefoot shoes with a thin insole for added warmth during the cold winter months. I really like the insole because it adds a bit of extra cushioning for shock absorption while walking on concrete in the city, while maintaining sensation between my feet and the ground. The leather is high quality and the rubber sole is tough. I have not had any issues with the sole squeaking on polished floors (I've had this issue with another pair of Vivobarefoot shoes). They run true to size. I usually like to size up in boots to accommodate for thicker socks during the winter, but it is better to find a fit that is more snug in the Chelsea boot style, since there are no laces to tighten the fit. My favorite part about these boots is the wide toe box. It is so difficult to find a stylish, minimalist boot that provides enough room for my toes to spread in the toe box. My feet are healthy and happy each time I wear these boots!

I absolutely love these boots! They were comfortable out of the box and have a clean, simple look.

I bought these boots as a second pit after loving the Fulham boots in brown all winter. I just missed out on the end of season sale at vivobarefoot and was so grateful to catch a pair here before the sold out! I get compliments on these boots all the time and can wear them with everything from yoga pants to jeans to dresses! If you’re new to minimal footwear, I suggest transitioning slowly ( especiallly if you walk mostly on concrete). A good way is to add a bit of arch support in your shoes at the beginning and test walking in them without the support for a couple of hours at first and then longer and longer to help strengthen your feet :)

As advertised. Felt barefoot and free and fit the natural shape of my foot perfectly. I loved how they looked off and I loved the idea of them, but when I tried styling them they always ended up looking like gumboots. I'll be either ordering the brown or the lace up vivobarefoot boots because they were very comfortable, just not my style.
