Bought these shoes 5 months back and loved them, comfortable for long hikes and the Gore-Tex keeps my feet dry, tread grips to almost all terrain. I don't beat them up too badly but wear them a decent amount when hiking, walking the dog or camping. I am now noticing the rubber coating is lifting off the shoe which makes me sad and I like the shoe in most other categories I'm hoping they don't just completely fall apart now!

I love the shoes. The problem is the laces. They come untied two or three times a day. Very annoying. Easily remedied with the correct material. Simply disappointed in Salomon--a company that is usually on top of these kinds of details.

I've never had shoe width issues, and I really like Salomon shoes. Unfortunately these curve in right at the boney protrusion on the outside of my foot. Otherwise they felt like they had decent cushion and good style.

Could have been a good light weight shoe for daily casual wear. The shoe was just too short and narrow.

Seems durable but...the fit is awful. I don't know how the people at Salomon come up with their sizes but they are smaller than any other brand I've tried. The "Wide" size is just shy of a normal width. I don't get it. These would probably be excellent shoes if you have tiny/narrow feet.

Shoe is ok but not quite what I expected from Solomon. Fits ok but feels like lots of vinyl and plastic in it and sole is very hard. Would not recommend.

I got this shoe back in May 2020 and walked about 35km per week on hiking trails and rural roads through October. Much to like: it fits like a glove, its light, it's supportive, it laces well, meaning I felt that I could tighten the upper and loosen the lower or visa versa. It has great traction until--and this is the flaw--the lugs wear down. Why Salomon would make such a great shoe with a sole that doesn't last is beyond me. I have a Merrell trail shoe that I don't like nearly as much but the lugs on the sole have lasted well over 5 years. So if you plan to walk a lot, want good traction, and want the shoe to last a long time, then don't get this one...but remove any one of those three criteria from what you want, and it IS a great shoe. All in all, I enjoyed it for one season, but the shoe is now finished.

At least a half-size too small; i.e., if you wear a US M 10.5, buy a US M 11.

Getragen fr 800 km auf dem E1 in Finnmark:
Negativ:

Great looking shoes but unfortunately way too narrow in the arch area and so I can't offer any further advice on them since I had to return them right away.

I bought these for my boyfriend after purchasing them for myself. Unfortunately I returned them after wearing them, as the do not feel breathable at all. My feet have never felt so hot in a shoe before. Since I already wore mine and cannot return them, I'll save them for fall/winter seasons.

I really wanted to like these but they were just too narrow in the mid-foot. Everything else was great but this shoe is oddly and exceptionally narrow. Definitely would not recommend for anyone who wears orthotics. If your feet are narrow, this might work though. Good looking shoe and seemed versatile. Just did not fit on my foot.

I wanted to like this shoe, but unfortunately, I had to return it. Here's my list of Pros & Cons.
PROS:
- Stylish
- Seemed to be well made of quality materials.
- Form fitting and not bulky like most hiking shoes
CONS:
- Very stiff shoe. Not comfortable out of the box like a pair of Merrell Moabs.
- Quite narrow in the toe box area. I don't have super wide feet, but shoes like Pumas and Adidas are usually too narrow for me, so take that for what it's worth.
- I wasn't crazy about the look of the lower part of the shoe. Felt the material used was too shiny and it was too "fat" or "puffy". I like that it's cushioned, but feel it could have been designed to look a little less like nurse shoes and more like a sneaker.
- Expensive! I think this shoe would be better priced at a max of $110. Under $100 would be more like it.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell

I opted for these as there are no women's shoes currently available in a size 9 wide width.
I have a pair of women's Outlines in wide that were my first walking shoe from Salomon. They were one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned, right of the box.
These shoes, while of the same quality I've come to expect from Salomon, are not a wide width as advertised all over the shoe. The are a good half inch more narrow than the wide women's shoe and match the standard width of a pair of Outpulses I tried. I'm very disappointed as now I'll have to find a new company for a good, long lasting, and tread worthy walking shoe.

Very comfortable, but the worst durability I've had with any shoe. The sides frayed quickly, and then the fabric cracked across the toe area where it flexes, thus making the entire Gore-Tex/waterproof issue irrelevant. I really wanted to like these, but they really fell apart quickly.

I bought these in July, extremely excited to replace my beloved adidas Terrex. I hiked and walked close to 100 miles in these things hoping they would mold to my feet. Well, I am sad to say, I'm in the market again. My feet feel like they are getting bunions. I had to go back to my 3 year old terrex shoes because I cannot have my feet aching like they do in the Solomons. Such a bummer. Maybe it's just my feet bc I am female? I have work plenty of mens basketball shoes over my career with no issues in those. So who knows!

I bought these shoes 2.5 months ago and they're already worn - holes on either side of the crease from stepping, letting water in, treads nearly down in some spots. I wear these shoes 50% of the time at most.
I won't buy these again with this track record.

Overall material and construction felt suspect. Inside material had unusual "grippy" texture. Like a cats tongue. Maybe good to prevent foot from sliding around during run, but made donning unpleasant. Volume of shoe very small. Low head room (if that makes any sense to you). My size 9 narrow foot felt very constricted on all sides and from above. With this design I did not think up-sizing would help the fit, as would just make toe length longer, which is not the issue.

I wish it fit better- very narrow and small toe box for a size 10. I like the gortex and sole. The Salomon seem to run small/narrow.
I'd also recommend:
Adidas has a wider toe box

I love the brand, and should have tried these before I bought them online. They are narrow in the width, and for the height of the foot . Bummer, squeezes the foot too tight.

I have 2 other pairs of Salomon the same size as what I ordered here. This new pair is significantly narrower than the previous 2 pairs of Salomon.
