These are exactly as expected! I’m in love ?? I’m usually 8.5. 8’s fit great. The top is a bit stiff at your ankle but with socks and a short break in period, they will be just fine. My first pair of DMs and it won’t be my last.

I love how they look! and my feet feel very good. BUT the front, top edge of the boot is initially very stiff. I loved them so much I decided to keep them, but I'm wearing them with large gauze pads strapped to my lower shins preventatively. After two wearings they're definitely improving. but these definitely take some time to "break in". I think after wearing them 5 times I should be in the clear. But the LOOK awesome!

These were not as comfortable as I had hoped. The heel puts a lot of pressure on the ball of your foot, but I guess that is to be expected. They are absolutely to die for- CUTE. I’ve still got some breaking them in to do but I am very excited with my purchase. And as for the discomfort; I say in beauty there is pain ???????

I was looking for a platform black boot that I could wear for costumes, concerts, work, in the rain for a night out.. and these checked em all off! The height is very comfortable and even with short legs, I really like the height of the boot shaft! The sole has a lot of traction making walks in the rain or over uneven sections of the road/sidewalk easy to maneuver.

These are slightly too big but I’m sure with thick socks, they’ll feel comfortable. I didn’t have the same issue with breaking them in or the toe being too stiff as some others experiences. I was able to wear these right away.

These are my first pair of Martens and I am in love. The comfort level exceeded my expectations. No doubt I could wear these for hours. And of course super cute! I always wear 9 in heels and these fit perfectly. These definitely won't be my last pair of Martens.

After spending a few days in NYC this winter I realized that I *needed* a pair of black boots, but I wanted a heel and didn't want to to deal with laces. Found these! It has been a while since I have bought a pair of Dr. Martens, so forgot that I have to order a full size smaller. So the first pair (US Size 9) was just way too big and my foot slipped way to much. Ordered the US Size 8, and these fit great! I still probably will put in an insert for a little more arch support. But comfortable from the get-go and the great cushion of Dr. Martens! I will be stylin' in the city now!

I read in the reviews that the shoes were a little big. I’m a 7.5 and since I read that, I decided to get a 7 and they fit perfect. I love love love these shoes. So cute and so comfy

I generally wear a size 8 in boots, including Freebirds, UGGs, and all other close toe shoes. Even my running shoes are 8’s. In heals; or slip on shoes with less “bulk” I generally wear a 7.5. I was unsure of what size to get, but ended up getting the UK 6, US 8. They are a tad too big. Not big enough to slip out of, but big enough to where when I push my toes all the was forward in the shoe I can put my pointer and middle finger behind my heel. I’m super hesitant to order the UK 5, US 7 instead because I only have a couple shoes in 7’s, and none of them are boots (they are too small at a 7 generally). I was thinking of going to store and trying on a similar style of Dr. Martens to see if the 7 would suffice. I’ll update my review when I get the chance to do that. Overall, they are a beautiful and comfortable shoe. I didn’t find the front lip of the shoe to be too stiff and I also think that if you are planning to wear wool socks (or just thicker socks) them being a little bigger is not that big of an issue.

I am so disappointed. The boots are so cute but the sizing is off. I wear an 8 in every shoe. The US 8 was huge. So I tried the US 7 and couldn’t even get my foot inside. So unfortunately there is no size for me in this shoe.

Great boots! They have the perfect chunky heel I was looking for. They have good traction in snow and keep my feet warm even in a Midwest winter.

This is one of those random purchases that just happened to be the best decision ever. I caught these on sale in my search for a Chelsea boot thinking they’d probably not work because of the heel. Nope, they’re super comfy and absolutely adorable with almost everything. I’m a solid size 9 in shoes and boots but have a fairly narrow foot. These are spot on for me but a wider foot may have some difficulties and/or breaking-in period. I walked the city comfortably with them right out of the box. It’s almost guaranteed that you’ll get compliments every time you wear them.

I’m a long time fan of Doc’s but this is my first purchase of a Chelsea with a heel, so I was a bit skeptical of the comfort level. These boots were every bit as comfortable as a traditional combat style with very little breaking in. I wore them all day to work with lots of walking and no problems, not to mention super cute. I usually wear a size 9 and these were perfect with just a regular sock. Love them!

LOVE the fit and style. I ordered an 8 I had no problem breaking them in, as I was scared from other reviews on the ankle area. But I didn’t have that issue at all! Very true to size with a little bit of room but just enough to be comfy!

I’m usually a 10.5 (hard to find) got an 11...HUGE...traded for a 10 and good but still roomy.

The inside of the boot feels true to size. I like that they feel light. They're brand new I think I'll follow a previous reviewer and wear padded bandages at my shins under long socks,

They run almost a full size too big. Got my normal 8 but definitely could have sized down. Even with thick so low or even wear two pairs of socks, still roomy. But I bought these last minute and wore them out so can’t return :/ Overall, I like these booties and they are comfortable would probably be more comfy if they fit properly.

super cute, fit well, but they are not as comfy as other docs I have had over the years, likely due to heel height.

Definitely felt a wee bit too roomy to be a true size 8. Also ankle was a bit too loose. Should be a little more snug to accommodate more and then stretch out.
