This is my second pair of the Willis Creeper. True that they are really snug at first and take some work to break in. Keep some band-aids on hand. Once you break them in, it's a great shoe and well worth the time. Looks sharp with a suit!

I ordered the white Willis Creeper. These were my first Docs, so I didn't understand the sizing. The sizing runs very large and wide. All references to sizing in this review are US. I wear a women's 8.5(M) and ordered an 8 as these shoes are only available in full sizes. The fit was closer to a 9.5. Zappos didn't offer a 7, so I purchased directly from Doc Martens as the price was the same. The 7 is a perfect fit for me. Please note that the leather used in these shoes is very thick and stiff, similar to the type used in Doc Martens combat boots. You will need to add stick-on cushioning to the shoes (and perhaps your feet) while breaking in the shoe. Otherwise you will tear up your feet. I have tough feet that can wear most any shoe straight from the box, but not these. This shoe will become comfortable with time, but you will have to work for it. Typically I wouldn't bother, but these shoes just look so awesome in a retro rockabilly sort of way. I also want to say that the Zappos return system is the best. They made it so clear and easy. I will definitely order from them again.

The toebox of this shoe is pretty narrow for a claimed medium width, which maybe is not a surprise for a pointy style. That, combined with the fact that modern Doc Martens are made of leather that feels very inflexible, led me to return them. I thought of ordering a size up, but the problem was the discomfort width-wise that I'm not sure would be any better with a bigger shoe of the same design.

These shoes squeak terribly when I walk. I don’t wear them because they are embarrassingly squeaky.
