These are awesome. First, just hottt. Second, also comfortable, with enough of a heel for us shorties without the pain. There also seems to be a bit of a hidden platform, so the angle of the heel isn't as high as advertised - a good thing for me. Very easy to walk in, beautiful to look at, and super stylish. Thinking about getting the brown as well now!

I was looking for a cute black bootie that gave this shorty a little height, yet was comfortable to wear all day on my feet while teaching. I also wanted a bootie that paired well with slim pants/jeans, but hit at a level that didn't go under or over the pant much. Thanks to Zappos I ordered several pairs, and this one was the clear winner. I really wasn't sure if I'd like the pattern on the top and heel of the black version, but it's actually very flattering. To me it gives the illusion of a longer leg, flatters the curve of the heel, and elevated what could have been a basic black shoe. Also for sizing - I have four other pairs of Dankso. Two are sandals, one is another bootie, and one is a Mary-Jane clog. I've always been a 40/ size 9. This time I noticed the sizing said 39 was an 8.5-9, but I went ahead and ordered my normal 40 because sometimes I like a 9.5 in my running shoe. Well, turns out the 40 was just too loose. Even with thicker socks I felt like my foot slipped around in the shoe too much. So 39 it was. It just felt better and more secure. I won't be able to wear a thick sock with it, but I think these will be comfortable enough without it. My one and only beef is I wish the finish was more of a matte or not so smooth. I'm kind of hard on my shoes, so I hope these won't scuff to easily.

The style was great, and I like the height as well as the dark chocolate brown. I have been wearing Dansko boots and wedges for a long time, but this is the first time that the combination of the height and the angle of the heel forced my toes into the front of the boot. Increasing a size would just make the boot not fit overall, so this one just didn't work for me.

I so wished these had worked for me but the heel height is rather high AND the base of the heel is too narrow. When I would step forward, it was an awkward transition and caused me to think way too much about stepping with caution. The boot itself is gorgeous and fits beautifully, true to size, but the heel was a no go for me. Bummer ;( The Dansko Hartley, although more casual, has a more stable heel and fits great!

So . . . this shoe/ankle boot is obviously very cute and stylish. However it is the least comfortable Dansko I have ever tried on. It felt more like wearing a pair of high heels that I continue to keep in my closet yet never wear. If you can handle wearing actual heels for a good length of time, then consider these (especially with Zappo's amazing return policy) otherwise I would skip. Of note I ordered 2 sizes and the smaller size fit great. I.e. if you only own Dansko clogs I would consider going a size down or order 2 sizes and see which fits best.

I listened to the advice of others and bought a size down from what I normally wear ( I wear a size 38 in the traditional dansko clogs and purchased a size 37 in these boots) and they fit perfectly!! They really are the most comfortable heel I own! Very pleased with my purchase, highly recommend.

I have loved wearing Danskos for the last 20 years! They’re great professionally and casually. Really love that they’re getting more stylish while maintaining the comfort. Now I can be comfy and stylish all the time!

I try not to buy Dansko shoes because I can find them clunky despite the comfort. But these were too stylish to pass up and I'd been searching for a winter bootie with no success. These booties are amazing in every way: style, comfort, quality. Casual yet dressy enough to wear with skirts to work, which is why I bought them. One reviewer indicated that if you have high arches they probably wouldn't work for you, and I agree. But if you don't, then you're in luck! Highly recommend.

Bought thisshoe in both black and brown. Love the style, and fit was mainly good except the back cut into my ankle and side bones.

I am loving this bootie. I also have the previous version that is lower and under the ankle bone. As the weather gets colder I wanted ankle coverage and it’s the perfect height. I prefer the black heel as well. Slight platform gives the optical illusion the bootie is higher. Great Dansko comfort for long work hours standing but super cute to hit happy hour after. Can wear with pants & dresses!

I usually wear 7.5 so I ordered 39. But they were too big and I knew they would stretch a bit. I ordered a full size smaller and they fit perfectly.

I LOVE these new boots! I was looking for something black to wear to work (I’m a teacher!) in the winter. I have a few other pairs of Danskos and love them all. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned these would be a bit small but I ordered my regular Dansko size and they are perfect. I worse them all day today 7-4 out of the box and my feet aren’t tired or sore or blistered at all. These shoes are killing it! I received several compliments and they are the perfect amount of professional but not too fancy. They are definitely worth the try!

I wear size 7/12 , and boot fits great true to size, love the style, I feel they’re very comfortable.

I am in between sizes- I usually wear a 7 or 7.5, the 38 is too big and the 37 is too small. Cute shoes, but have to return them.

These are a nice style but very stiff on my foot. I'm very picky as my mom had many foot problems and I always try to be careful in my selections so I won't end up the same. The heel was a touch too high as well for me to walk in easily.

I was surprised that this Dansko ankle boot did not feel great the second I tried it on. I have several Dansko shoes and boots, and the size I ordered has always worked previously. The Miley, however, was a bit small in both overall size and felt narrow. It is a sophisticated design with a cute pattern to give it some pizazz without being over designed. It was disappointing that this particular Dansko boot did not work this time around.

If you were a 5.5 us, don't get the size that says 5.5-6. Its a 6.

So cute, heels just a bit too high for my taste....

I bought both Miley and Hartley together. Miley was a bit tighter than Hartley, and the heel a bit higher. Because the front was more flexible than the clog rocker bottom I'm used to, (and therefore less comfy) I decided to send these back. It's a shame, because they're very cute.

I was looking for a black boot exactly like this but was a little put off by the weird fabric back on this pair. I ordered them thinking maybe it wouldn't be so bad in person. You know what? It was exactly as bad. What a bummer. Maybe once I return the black pair I will order them in the brown. Comfort-wise the boot isn't as supportive as most Danskos -- it could use a little more substance in the front to prevent that feeling of the pressure caused by the higher heel when the front of the foot strikes the ground -- but I could live with it on days when I don't have to do too much walking.
