For the past eight years I have relied on Dunham for my shoes. I have a VERY WIDE foot that is also thick (9.5 6E). This brand is comfortable and can be worn right out of the box with minimal-to-zero "breaking in" discomfort. The Captain Ltd. is a great shoe that you wear all day, as a big guy (350+ lbs), without pain and look good. They are definitely business casual, but I wear them every day all day. My last pairs of Dunham shoes typically last 3 years or more before breaking down, but that is with daily wear supporting a very large fellow. I highly recommend this brand and this shoe.

The quality is excellent, but I had to return because the shoe fit like a size 13 instead of a 12. 6E width was accurate, and the toe box was just tall enought for my hammer toes. I'm going to try 11.5 6E to see if the length is better.

This shoe replaced an old pair allegedly of the same size, width, and model. Putting them side by side, the newer version is at least an inch shorter and signficiantly narrower!!!

I bought these to wear for just a few summer type outings and ended up wearing them all summer because they were surprisingly comfortable and had great support. A boat type shoe is not normal known for comfort and support but these are great.

Really like the looks and feel of these shoes. I have purchased Sebago, Sperry and West Marine boat shoes in the past and these are far better in quality of construction and materials. Well worth the extra cost!

Made in China. Ugh. Smells bad. What are the Chinese putting in their leather? They look pretty good and they feel good. Good support and cushioning. Too box has good room. Ventilation is suspect. I had to size down in width and length for them not to slip off my heel. My shoe size is generally 12.5 C. I had to go with a 12.0 B in this shoe. I would not pay full price for this shoe. Not sure if I'll keep or not. Really disappointed in the China aspect. Be safe!

Beautiful shoe.....just too big. Of course smaller size I needed was out of stock. Good for casual or dressy casual in the summer. I needed a shoe that looked good without socks and this is it!

I am very pleased in all regards with my new Dunham Captain Ltd boat shoes. I did insert a happy feet arch support to lift my heel a little to have my ankle bones clear the uppers around the sides for a most comfortable fit. The shoes are well made of fine leathers and very attractive for a relaxed appearance.

I’ve been wearing a pair of the Durham Captains for the past three summers and they started looking a bit worse for wear. This pair of Captain Ltd. fits as well as the old ones right out of the box. Boat shoes usually require a break in period but these arrived ready to go. I highly recommend Dunham boat shoes and this style in particular.

The Dunham Captain is an extremely solid and comfortable shoe with a thick well built sole. The inside of the shoe has very soft leather to make for a wonderful fit and feel. The outside of the shoe is composted of thick high quality leather, providing the feel and support of a very well constructed boat shoe. This is only my 3rd day of wearing this shoe and I can see that each day the shoe becomes more and more wearable and pliable to walk in. I am 76 and have moderate hammer toes so the height and width of the toe area of the inside of the shoe was a big concern for me at the time of ordering them. Now that I have gone on long walks with my dog, I can see that this concern should not me an issue going forward. I have had many boat shoes, including Allen Edmunds, and would highly recommend that you consider the Dunham Captain shoe to be of the utmost value and quality in the $150 and under price range.

Overall very pleased. These shoes are advertised as slip-ons but that isn't working for me. Perhaps it's because a wear a size 14. Nice shoes otherwise and they are feeling better as I get them broken in.

I have bought this same shoe before. Love them and bought another color. Wears well.

This is my second pair of Dunham Captains. This one runs a half size large so I ordered accordingly. The shoe is comfortable and substantial. Out of the box and on the feet. No breaking in.

ran about 1/2 size too big. I compared it to my OG dunham captains which are the same size...but these bad boys were larger. Re-ordered a half size smaller and it now fits well.

I have had bad luck with boat shoes over the last few years, largely because of my size 13 4E feet. These are perfect, at least for my purposes. Comfortable, roomy, good-fitting, water-resistant, non-marking, and as good-looking as boat shoes ever get.

Surprising comfort in a very substantial waterproof shoe. It doesn't make my feet too warm, and it actually feels like I'm just wearing a good, comfortable shoe. Some folks remarked that they run large and I found that to be the case. In New Balance running shoes, I'm a 13 EE. These give me PLENTY of toe room in a 12 EE. The sole is fine to walk in on the sidewalks of New York. I would recommend this to any guy looking for a moc style with water protection. Consider ordering at least 1/2 size down from your favorite tie or slip-on.

Excellent quality overall. Lovely leather lining. Quite well made. Fine, well cushioned footbed with leather lining. Nice toe room. Overall a good shape for my low-volume foot. Unfortunately they were unusually wide in the heels and not true to size. I had to return them.

Because others had left reviews that this shoe ran large, I bought 1/2 size smaller. It didn't fit. I would say they are true to size as I had to return them. Will purchase his normal size.

My right foot loved it and my left foot found a spot that rubbed significantly. Otherwise I really liked the shoes; had all I wanted. Appreciated the availability of the narrow width! Thanks Zappos!! Ordering another style that I hope works better for both feet.

After reading all the reviews on Dunham shoes I ordered a 1/2 size smaller, from 12 to 11.5. As luck would have it they are to short, am reordering my normal 12 N/B. The reviews didn't specify ordering a shorter length / narrower width, I assume shorter. I rated overall and comfort 3 stars because I didn't wear them for but a brief fitting, the shoes look great so I rated style 5 stars!

Lace broke right out of box. Product returned.

Ran > a full size long. Rather comfortable, but ‘squeaky’ perhaps due to the tread design, but noticed both on hardwood and carpet...maybe just needs breaking in.
