These are really cool, minimalist boots that were very comfortable. The problem was really with my leg shape--I have thin ankles and lower calves, but a wide calf muscle. These boots hit just below the calf muscle, essentially just below the fattest part, making them look really awkward. I think they'd work better as a mid-calf boot. The length is just a bit off.

I love these boots and they fit perfectly 10-1/2 Medium Width. My only comment is that they have elastic side panels, rather than a zipper. As a result, I cannot get my feet into these boots wearing socks and I am wearing them barefoot. Here in extreme northwestern Washington State the night time temperatures are not yet freezing. Once we get to the really cold temperatures, bare feet in the boots may be a problem. But nonetheless, I LOVE THEM. (Perhaps in their next incarnation, Vivobarefoot will replace the elastic side panels with a zipper.)
