At first I thought the heel was too loose so I initiated a return. I decided to keep them. The heel should improve as the soles get less stiff. Good looking shoe and comfortable.

Very comfortable yet supportive but not a heavy shoe. I love Ahnu's shoes.

Walked a million miles in my first pair. Wore them out. Second pair not exactly the same fit as the first but still good. Love Ahnus!!!

I have been buying Ahnu for about 6 yrs; after a surgery that affected my feet I found out about this brand and have purchased many different kinds since then, other than Sugarpine and Montana. I hope that Teva retains the quality that Ahnu established and I understand they want to use their own name on its brand. To me, it is still Ahnu.

I’ve always purchased the waterproof sugarpines, so this is my first mesh. Also my first purchase post-Teva. The arch support didn’t feel as good as previous pairs, and the ankle seems to come up higher, so that it rubs my Achilles and my ankle bones. I’ve been wearing them for a few days and they seem to be breaking in pretty well. But definitely not as cushy as my earlier pairs. Still wonderfully lightweight and a good looking approach shoe.

This is my second pair of Sugarpines. I wore my previous pair out after walking over 10,000 steps a day in them for the past 9 months. I like the support and find they keep my feet dry and warm. The design of this second pair has moderately changed in that the color is uniformly grey. I am happy with the change. I understand that Ahnu is now partnered with Teva. Hopefully, the quality of the shoe will remain stable, as I have purchased Ahnu shoes for the past ten years & would like to continue to do so.

Teva Sugarpine is oh so close to original Ahnu versions, which were practically perfect. I like some stability stiffening in the sole, my toes to spread and flex with minimal toe/heel rise, so for hiking, backpacking and walking miles in a hospital at work, they fit the bill to a T. For me, I feel they are just a skosh shorter and have a little less arch support. I will continue to purchase, but miss the better arch support the most.

I was a little concerned initially purchasing these because I have the original air mesh ankle boots. I bought these for the fit, and some reviews said it is nothing like the original. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit quite well, and the size is equal to that of the original boot. The waterproofing works, and they came with an alternate set of laces. The only cons are that the back is a little too stiff (which I'm sure will loosen over time) and the padding inside isn't quite as firm as the original boot. Overall, I am quite pleased and found it to be a great purchase.

I have to agree with everyone who has complained in a drop in quality and comfort in this Teva iteration. I'm keeping them because I'm lazy, but I'm disappointed and will probably shop around more when it's time to replace.

I ordered a size 6 which is my normal size. These seemed small for a six. I figured after walking in them for hours they would feel even smaller so I need to go up at least 1/2 size. Also, I don't like the way they hit the back of my heel. I am not sure if it's because they are too small or if that is just due to the design of the show but right now I cannot imagine wearing them without getting blisters on the backs of my feet.

My foot size is 5.5 Wide, so I usually purchase 6.5M shoes. Perhaps I should have gone up to a 7M. Once I put on the shoes, they dug into the backs of my ankles, not enough to cause blisters, but certainly uncomfortable. Then I noticed the inside seams that ran across and down the outer edges of the foot were irritating, even though I was wearing socks. I wore them for short periods of time, always bringing a back up pair to work in case they started causing pain. Eventually they've become more comfortable, but who wants to break in new shoes? I work on concrete floors, so I am quick to notice if there isn't enough support. However, the one thing they've managed to achieve is to keep my feet, back and neck from hurting after a long day at work. I am very grateful for that, but I will not buy another pair.

The low profile of this shoe is great, but there's very little support. Despite being advertised as waterproof, they are not. Splashed water on them and it went through to my sock.

Fit, size, and appearance were good...but every time I put them on my toes went numb. Tried putting extra padding in to no avail. Shoe is poorly made compared to previous models of the sugar pine. The original sugar pine had a thicker vibram sole that gave more support and cushioning. They looked good, but material and stitching were poor compared to original. Sent them back!

So disappointed I wasted $120 on these. One of my ankles is rubbed raw after wearing, even after months of breaking in. The support is not that great either - my waterproof sugarpines are much more comfortable. I plan on replacing with a different brand.

My new Sugarpines rubbed my heel raw. I used to love this shoe.I've actually gone back to my original as they are still in good enough shape. No more Sugarpines for me.

Complete disappointment beyond words. I just don't understand why a company has to change or fix something that is not broken. I've been an Anuh Sugarpine Air Mesh customer for 8 years, owning every color made. The perfect Woman's hiking shoe combining comfort, durability and fashion! Yes, fashion is so important to us and hiking boots/shoes tend to lack the fashion by a long shot. The original Sugarpine Air Mesh had it ALL...an award winning shoe!! Why Teva? Why???? I hope there are others out there that feel the same way and maybe, just maybe you'll give us back the shoe we love! No comparison here :(

I loved Sugarpines. This is my fourth pair I have bought. They were so comfortable right out of the box, had incredible support and comfort. I wear them so much that I wear the soles out. So I was super excited to try this new version. I put them on as soon as I got them and set out on my walk with the dogs. After about 30 minutes the back of my ankles were rubbed raw with blisters. I was in so much pain I barely made it home. I wanted to take them off and just walk barefoot. Super disappointed with this new version. I feel the quality has gone downhill since Teva took over this brand.

Downgraded my original review because I understood these to be waterproof, but they are not. I reread the description after another reviewer pointed out the shoe is not waterproof. The description says the sole & leather trim are waterproof. Not much help if you want to keep your feet dry in the rain. Decided to pour a little water on the top mesh. It beaded up and roll off......But then I felt water coming in where the mesh meets the rubber toe & leather trim! So, back they’ll go. Vacation disaster averted!

Sugarpines were my absolute favorite shoes but these new ones are nothing like the original. They are a cheaper made version that doesn't have the support and comfort of the original. Not to mention the back of my ankles were rubbed raw and BLEEDING from wearing these. Teva ruined a great shoe.
