This Lole Lainey jacket is really nicely made and had all the features I was looking for: wind & rain resistant, corded hood and hem, nice fabric though it was heavier than I had anticipated. However, it is styled very slim through the underarm and body, and there’s no way I could layer a sweater or sweatshirt under it for cooler weather. I’m 5’2”, 118 lbs and ordered a Medium. It fits, exactly, which is the problem, with no room left over. Its also too heavy for me to comfortably stow it in a small pack (it did not come with a stowaway bag). The reason I gave it 5 stars is that if you’re very slim and don’t need to layer anything under this, it might work for you, and as I said, it looks very nicely made. It seems the newer styles are all cut slim, for fashion, but if you’re needing one for actual outdoor pursuits, its a frustrating search.
