Altra shoes are the best and this is mu favorite iteration of the intuition. I feel like I should stock up because companies always change designs once I find something I love!

This is my fifth pair of Altra Intuition shoes, and I love them. I recently broke my foot and have been wearing a special boot. I brought my Altra's into the podiatrist and asked him if they would be okay once I can wear normal footwear again. He said his partner wears Altra Intuitions, and that they are great shoes for any feet. They are comfortable and supportive with a nice wide toe box. I do order a half size up from my normal size as they seem to run a tad short. Altra also makes super trail running shoes which I use for hiking. I'm glad to see that they finally have a color that I like, because their colors can be a bit funky. Don't really care though, the shoe is so perfect for me, I'll sacrifice fashion for comfort!

I have tried countless running shoes and orthotics to reduce the pain in my 1st toe after I broke it a few years ago. With these shoes I can run pain free once again!! I have been using them for over a year now and they are still great! I wanted to buy another pair, and was disappointed to see that my size is out of stock. I will be checking back soon. :)

Altra tend to run 1/2 small. This shoe was not exception. I take a 9.5 in Topo athletic and need a 10 in Altra. I was looking for a shoe I could transition from running to walking. I own other Altra styles. I like the way this one is more fitted to my foot. The Torrin is much wider and I have too much extra width. Unfortunately this style will not longer be available.
I'd also recommend:

I loved the shoe but it was a bit big. I usually wear a 7 and that is what I ordered but I think because the toe box is deeper than most and the shoe looks like my wide foot it was too big. I ordered the 6 1/2 and have decided to keep those. My first pair of Altras. It’s weird but I love that my shoes aren’t tight. I will be wearing them for walking primarily.

I have had 2 pairs of this style and and one of a previous intuition. Great for walking and everyone loves the purple color! My shoe size is a 7.5, I wear an 8 in this.

Wear 8.5 in most Merrell 0-drop styles and an 8 in Vapour Gloves; I got a size 9 in the Intuition 4.5, and there is a thumb-width of space between the end of the shoe and my big toe. I have medium-wide width foot, and there seems to be plenty of room. Overall, the shoe is light, and the upper is very soft. I usually wear out the uppers long before the sole, so I'll have to see what the wear is on these. I wear these for long walks and up hill paved roads. Grip is good, but not a trail shoe per se.

This model runs a little small, had to go up 1/2 size. Used to wear Ultra Line peak 4.5, but the design changed, so I found these and they’re great!

Altra Intuition, a neutral shoe, is great for an underpronator. It's wide foot bed & flexibility in the sole & fabric provides perfect comfort for my hard to fit foot. They are a great everyday shoe & provides plenty of support on the treadmill too.

Altra footwear is my saving grace. The wide toe box eliminates irritation from problematic toe conditions such as bunions and callouses. Very comfortable, excellent cushioning. Maybe not the prettiest athletic shoe but not bad either. The light blue makes it look a little trimmer than dark colors. What I care most about is comfort on long daily walks and for that it gets an A . I wear 7-1/2 or 8 in casual shoes and ordered an 8-1/2. Altra, in my experience, fits a bit short in length so the 8-1/2 is perfect for me. And love the Zero Drop! Works muscles that shoes with heels higher than toes don’t work. But do follow their recommendation to build up use gradually to get those muscles used to it. My second pair of Zero Drop and I love them.

For was true to Altras. I’ve a wider foot and the design of the toe box on Altra shoes are heaven even with running footies. My blister problems have almost vanished since wearing Altra does for backpacking and running. (Bunions will always be bunions with regards to blisters). Finally a shoes that looks good and LOVES a woman’s foot.

I was wearing orthoitics with my other shoes and found them not necessary with these shoes. I have no more pain. My only complaint is the shoe laces. They are too long and so slick they don't stay tied.

Being new to the Altra brand, I bought the Intuition 4.5 and Torin 3.5. The Intuition has less cushion than Torin, similar to Brooks Ghost. Intuition toe box is roomy, but a little more narrow than Torin. Overall, they aren't as big looking as Torin. I can see why some people prefer these. For me, the design of the shoe just didn't mold to my feet as comfortably as Torin. I typically wear a 9 in running shoes and I ordered a 9.5 in these, which was perfect.

I am so happy to find these shoes recommended by my daughter. They have the thick sole I need for my left foot neuroma. I don't run but my toes have all the room I need to hike and fast walk so that they don't go numb. I can't wait to take them to Hawaii to climb all over the new lava beds newly formed on the big island.

These are the best shoes ever! Imagine walking on a cloud, but with stability and support. I previously owned the Intuition 2.0, and these are a definite improvement in the quality of construction. I've had my 4.5 shoes for about 6 months, and they are still in great shape. I have tried other top brand shoes that didn't keep my feet stable during lateral movements. But my Altras are perfect for all my aerobic activities. They are my go-to shoe for running, cross-training, and walking. I order a half size bigger, but that's typical for me in running shoes. Buy them, you won't regret it! Altra, don't change a thing!

I've been wearing Intuitions for years, starting with maybe 2.0. I've always worn a size 10 in them, which is a little long but still wearable (and bigger than what I wear in normal street shoes). This version, unfortunately, seems to be sized differently. The 10 was enough too big that I was worried about tripping, but the 9 1/2 was a bit too short, unless maybe with very thin socks. I skipped the 4.0, so I don't know when the change happened, but these do seem to fit differently than 3.5, 3.0, and 2.0. Or maybe it's just me. I returned both sizes, sadly, because in all other respects they seemed at least as good as my previous Intuitions, if not better. Intuitions in general really work for me. Foot problems have virtually disappeared and knee problems are much reduced. I'm a fan of chi running, though my technique is kind of sketchy, and these shoes seem to encourage some of those body mechanics.

I love this shoe for walking. I go up a whole size to be sure my toes have room. This shoe has a wide front foot base which I need to avoid blisters. Lightweight.

Love these shoes! However, I had to send back the first pair I ordered and get the next 1/2 size up. They run a little small. Other than that they feel amazing!

These fit a little tighter width wise than my last pair of Altra's (Intuition 3.5), but not too tight. I have completely flat feet and bunions on both feet. Therefore, it is important to note that the shoe is not tight around the toe bed area, but actually supports the mid foot and arch region of my foot. The room around the toe bed probably would have prevented my bunions from forming the first place, if only they had these when I was running cross country in high school! I like the neutral black color of the shoe which goes with anything. I feel like I'm walking on clouds and have done long walks and HIIT workouts so far in them. I would buy this again and prefer the feel of them to the Intuition (but I loved them, too!)

Took a few tries to get size & model right, but worth the effort! These tennies feel like mocassins, and they work with my custom orthotics! Believe people when they say these shoes run small. The size 10 fits my size 9 foot perfectly, especially across the ball of my foot. Altra FTW! Thanks Zappos!
