Loved this shoe, however the heel slipped slightly. I have a wide foot and narrow heel so this is often a problem for me. My last pair of Asolo were perfect! (Too bad they discontinued.) I’ll return and keep hunting. Zappos make that so easy for me!!!

I do love these shoes - my second pair of Asolos. They are really handsome and have Great arch support. But if you want a good cushy supportive shoe with really good traction - these aren't them. They have too much 'road feel' to be really comfortable for a longish (5 mile) walk... and I'd want something more substantial on the trail. So, Love them - lightweight and good looking and well made - but just not enough hiking shoe for me. Oh, and I wear an 7 1/2 - 8 narrow usually, but I buy a 7 in Asolo.

This shoe was not an uncomfortable fit except for the odd vertical height of the toe box, which affected the feel of the shoe in an unpleasant way and took away from the overall supportiveness of the shoe. If I wore thick orthotics, or if I suffered from diabetic neuropathy, the tall shoe box might have been a plus, but for me it just made the shoe feel too big despite the rest of the shoe saying otherwise.

Too much room in the toe box making it puffy (not width but height).

I have purchased Asolo shoes for years. This is the first pair I have found to be very poorly constructed. I put the right shoe on and it started squeaking when I leaned over to adjust the laces. When I stood up to walk, they really squeaked. This is not something I would expect from a pair of shoes that cost in excess of $120.00.
