I happened to buy a pair of these on a trip, at an actual Ecco store. I usually buy 41s in Ecco - and some Ecco 41's seem a tiny bit short. ( I tend to need a 10 - 101/2 on my larger foot) But these fit me best in size 40 with thin socks). They are snug, and low volume ( if you have a high volume foot - or probabaly a high arch, they probably will not work) Not highly cushioned. They do not have a lot of extra width in the forefront and toe. That all sounds negative - But they were secure and supportive enough for a lot of ( fast) walking, with no worry about rolling the ankle, say, on cobblestone streets. My bony feet felt fine! Also, I think they have a nice streamlined sporty look - and no scream-at-me colors. I wish the bottoms matched the tops -- but I wish that about all footwear . .

Great right out of the box. Wore for a week and a half walking in Ireland -- no problems breaking in. Good choice.

I have worn Ecco shoes for years but this is the first pair that was too small and too narrow. The shoes are attractive and appear to be well made. Would buy them if they came in a wide.

I'll start by saying I really love Ecco shoes. However, the Terrawalk fit kinda funky... The shoe was narrow on me and about a half size large. Cushioning in the heel was great but the cushioning from the arch forward to the toes was thin. The shoe was pretty tight across my toes but loose in the heel. Overall, it just didn't fit me right. This is the first Ecco shoe where I've experienced this kind of fit issue. Needless to say I sent them back. It's wonderful to be able to try a shoe, and send it back if it doesn't fit. Thanks Zappos for the great service!

I really wanted this shoe to work and am sad to be sending these back. I liked the way these looked on, and was pleased with the subtle color of the gray. I am not a big fan of bright white or colored athletic sneakers. I was looking for a shoe that was attractive (to me), would be comfortable for walking long distances, that could be workable in an urban setting, but also rugged enough for the outdoors. These shoes do not work for two reasons. The first, is that the part of the shoe that creases when you walk cuts uncomfortably into the top of the foot. This seems a strange flaw from a company that aims to design shoes for comfort. The second issue is that they are too narrow for me near the toes, which is not an issue I normally have. I am guessing that this may be why the previous reviewer is hoping that they will stretch. For the price it wasn't a risk I was willing to take.

I bought them for my mother. She loves them and feels stylish in them. She states that they fit her nicely and she feels secure walking in them.

Quality great. Comfort great. However, I have a small heel cup and my heel came up with each step.

I was unsure how to rate this shoe because it was very attractive, it had good arch support (even excellent compared to what we find these days), the length was good, and the the price was good for a quality shoe. BUT, it was quite narrow in the toe box. I have owned at least six pairs of ECCOs in the last 15 years and loved them all. These are the first to be too narrow. I am older, true, but I have had bunions for 25-30 years and my other ECCOs still fit fine (yes, they last that long!). Very disappointed but sending them back.

This shoe just felt wrong in every way. Too short, and way too narrow for a medium width. Also: the toe box is curved to the right and it makes the shoe look elf-like. It's also made from a very heavy material, too heavy for the style of shoe. I've been wear ECCO Yucatan(s) sandals for years and love them. I expected this ECCO to have a simile feel. Nope.

Uncomfortable, even before I start walking. . The lacings are too far apart. The slope of the heel awkwardly hits my natural heel. Heel and sole feel hard. These shoes are not made for fitness walking. Walking to and in the store? Perhaps, but not for "real" walking.
