Better than expected. Finns need to be broken in, got to get used to them, the rocker sole is different, but wonderful. Sometimes at first I feel like they are going to be too narrow. I was skeptical at first, I have wide feet that are hard to fit. I felt like I was taking a chance on wearing them outside, but I'm glad I did because they have become my favorite shoes, after stretching out a bit. I feel like Finn's have reshaped my feet, giving me good posture. I also used to have knee problems that went away when I gave up the birkenstocks for the high quality of the Finn Comforts. The support is excellent. Now, I don't wear any other brands of shoes, the Finn Comforts are the best in quality. Sizing is tricky. I wear an 8 in the US sizes, and 39 in the euro sizes and 5.5 in the UK sizes, The Altea is the UK sizing. They are worth the price, even though I wish they were less expensive so I could collect alot more of them. Really good shoes. Hope all this helps, I write reviews because I love to read them.

Fabulous shoe fit perfectly with no break in needed. I have been a Finn Comfort fan for many years. Although this brand is expensive, I have never bought a shoe from Finn Comfort that was not perfect for me. I have bunions which limit the shoe styles I can comfortably wear. My feet are not wide, I have narrow heels and the bunions have definitely given me shoe fitting challenges. With Finn Comfort, I have no trouble at all with pain of any kind and can comfortably stay on my feet for hours at a time.

I absolutely LOVE this shoe. I am relatively new to Finn Comfort shoes. Over the past four months I have tried several different styles (approximately 9 different Finn Comfort styles). They were all well made, that's for sure. However, the price point and support came into play when making my decision. To spend $300-ish plus dollars for shoes, they have to be all things to me that I was looking for. Excellent support, all black leather, comfortable, not too orthopedic looking, well made and not made in China. For me, the Finnamic line of Finn Comfort works better than their regular line. I will also say that I really, really liked the Finn Comfort Ikebukuro shoe, which is similar in style to the Altea. But, I wanted solid black leather and Finn Comfort is not offering their Ikebukuro in solid black leather at this time. If Finn Comfort does come out with solid black leather in their Ikebukuro like this Altea all black leather, I will buy it. I have worn Dansko professional for almost 20 years. Dansko's quality has gone done, in my opinion, and their sizing is all over the place. I was looking for a support, comfortable, well-made shoe to replace my Dansko's and I found it all with Finn Comfort Altea. I also like that I have a nice supportive shoe without the heavy weight of the Dankso professional. I wore Dansko professionals for so long, I did get used to the weight, but it is nice to have support in a lighter weight shoe. I am glad I waited until I found just the right shoe, as they are truly expensive. I have never spent this much on a shoe ever. My feet are truly happy, the shoes look better on my feet than they do in the pictures and from what I have read, Finn Comfort shoes should last 6-10 years; depending how much you wear them and how they are cared for all do come into play. With all the positives said, I just won't think about the price. At this point in my life, I have come to realize my days of having 80 pairs of shoes, which most I did not wear or rarely wore, are over. Quality and comfort over abundance. I ordered a 6.5 UK (9 in US) and they fit fine - even with SmartWool socks for the winter. Thank you Zappos for allowing your customers to order and return until they find the right shoe and fit. Zappos is truly the BEST and should be a model for all companies with regard to their customer service. Thanks!

Once you buy Finn comfort, it is hard to go back to another brand. This brand is so well made and comfortable. I have this in the leaf pattern - very cute!

This style is the most comfortable of all my Finn Comfort shoes, and it is classy. I hope there will be new colors and leathers in the spring!
