No collar or tongue padding. Hurt my ankle and instep. Really loved the style, just disappointed in the comfort.

I am bummed that these shoes lasted me less than a year. I don't wear my shoes so hard, I don't do so much hiking or whatever. I would expect good shoes to last longer.

Terrible durability. The soles of mine split just like shown in other review photos. I've had other Born boots that lasted YEARS. These made it less than 3 months, and I wore them maybe every other day. Maybe it's just a design flaw in the soles (they split right along the recesses in the diamond pattern). Luckily, Zappos stands behind their products, and they made it right!

Very disappointed with these shoes! Had to return them twice due to the soles cracking in a little over two months. Always heard good things about Born shoes, I’m surprised they were so cheap.

Great boots, really nice feel to the leather. Felt soft, comfortable, and broken in the first time I put them on. Would def buy again. Be aware they run a little large, id recommend at least 1/2 size smaller than normal.

Super comfortable, great walking shoe!

These are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I can't believe how others have had such bad luck woth the soles. Ive worn mine virtually daily for probably 2 1/2 years and ive almost worn through the soles. I've had athletic shoes that weren't this comfortable. It looks like Born discontinued styles as i want to order these and another style.

These shoes fit very well and are very comfortable but you’re very supportive. I bought these to do patient visits in the home as I wanted something with a very smooth leather that could be easily cleaned and these will work very well for this. I’m actually rethinking about repurposing these to every day wear as they are so nice and finding something else to wear into patient’s homes!

Returned the size 11 (what I normally wear) for a size 10.5. Good for wider feet. Super comfortable.

Love the boots, but the first pair I ordered were too small. Exchanged for a half size larger, and they’re perfect. Very comfy and customer service was great.

A really nice pair of boots. The leather uppers are very nice, moderate to thin thickness. Pretty decent cushioning, not too much arch support, but it’s there. Quite lightweight and they look nice . They definitely fit a half size too large, order a half size smaller than nornal.

Good fitting Born shoe as always, I own several pairs and I’ve always liked their comfort for my feet

Excellent looking shoe somewhat comfortable

Just what I was looking for which was a comfortable, well-made chukka-style boot at a great price. When I first put one on, thought maybe they were a half-size too small, but put on a thinner pair of socks and the fit and feel were great. Would have liked to try a half-size bigger for comparison, but will not be returning these as they are very comfortable!

Got this for my husband since the width is a little more to wide than normal, and it turned to be a great purchase. He always has problems with these kind of shoes for being too narrow but I love the fact that this brand for men shoes tends to make them a little wider. Definitely a fan now and he loves it too.

Been wearing these for a while now. Great daily shoe for office, weekends, etc. with jeans. Slightly tight width wise, but not enough to bother or warrant a wide version.

Purchased these for my son who normally wears a 12 medium. We needed to re-order in a 13 which seemed a little big, but not available in 12.5. Other than being a little long, he says the fit is comfortable, and the toe box very good.

I really like these boots, simple but nice looking style that should go well with jeans or khaki/chino pants. I’m difficult to fit in a casual (or work) boot and suffer plantar fasciitis so have some needs in the arch dept. Wide-size boots generally taper at the toes even if the mid foot is wide, but these have a nice toe box that is generally shaped like an actual foot. I wear Altra shoes or Birkenstock Bartlett shoes (both zero drop and wide toe box) most days and these will fit in nicely. These aren’t zero drop but I’d guess around 4-5mm so not much. My Birkenstock insoles slide right in after wrestling out the glued-in Born insoles. All in all, I think these will be a great choice for casual/business casual shoes.
