New fan of Keen!! I've been wearing Merrells for years but couldn't find a waterproof version that I felt comfortable in. In fact I had another pair of Merrells in this order and thought, hey just for the heck of it I'll try these Keen Targhee. The Merrell was nearly a full size smaller than my other ones. What I really liked about this was the wider 'square' toe box. I don't believe in having to break in a shoe and with these I don't. I even ordered some SmartWool socks too. I'm headed to Iceland in May so I'll be all set! I'm a big fan of Zappos! Easiest place to shop and the return process couldn't be better!!! I'm also a VIP member and the rewards are handy!

BEST WATERPROOF TRAVELLING SHOE EVER! I purchased these to travel to Italy late last fall and they were perfect for hiking, walking, general travel. Definitely waterproof, and look great. Love them! I'm getting a second pair in different color.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I don't want to take them off at night. They required no break in. They have never rubbed or pinched. I just beat them up for 3.5 weeks in Scotland and they didn't even blush. Soaked them in the North Sea and they dried quickly. Got them filthy and sandy and they cleaned up easily and look beautiful again. I'm buying another pair lest Keen stop making them.

I wore these in melting snow, rain, and sunshine during recent European vacation where temps ranged from 30 to 60 degrees. They kept my feet warm, dry, and comfy. These were my go to shoes. They looked pretty good with all my outfits which were mostly black.

Great hiking shoes. Used these on a moderate hike in southern Arizona in 80 degree weather then a hike in Sedona in 37 degrees stepping on wet rocks in a creek as well as walking around the Grand Canyon rim in cold temperatures. These are great all around hikers. I have had plantar fasciitis in the past and I had no pain after wearing these almost every day for a week. My feet stayed comfortable and dry. I sized up half a size and they fit perfectly. I am planning on trying the Targhee boots as well for more extensive hikes.

These were in my "final 3" for selecting hiking boots - fit was good (I normally wear a 9 in street shoes, 9.5 in Asics Gel Kayanos - got a 9.5 in these and they were right). Nice room in toe box, but not too much, and quite comfortable. Felt that I could wear them right out of box. I am not a huge fan of Keen styling, but these were nice and lightweight. In the end, decided I wanted a Vibram sole - the Keen was okay, but didn't feel quite as stable, and will be hiking in rocky areas. Would be perfect for typical trails. My other finalist was the Asolo Megaton, and the winner was the Salewa Firetail3 GTX.

Sturdy, well-made, long lasting, sensible shoes for hiking and yard work. Waterproof is excellent when cutting wet grass and in general outdoors activities especially during this wet season. Of course these will not substitute for rubber above the ankle rain boots. Roomy enough for a custom arch support which I used sometimes when the worn pair was nearing retirement. Plenty of toe box room for heavy duty socks. Guess all this is why I purchased this replacement pair for general yard work and an additional pair in a half size smaller with blue accent for vacation traveling.

Overall, these shoes fit really well and the colors/style are fine. I normally can wear Keens straight out of the box, but these rub my ankle bones, so, sadly, will need to return.

Great walking/hiking shoe! Comfortable and no slip. I have high arches so put inserts in them which works perfectly. I can walk for hours in these shoes without noticing them on my feet. That's a huge clue for me about shoe comfort; if I'm aware of them, something is wrong with the fit. Love the color, too!

Great looking shoe and waterproofing looks like it would do the job. I wore this around the house quite a bit, almost bought this shoe, but ultimately bought the Voyager. This shoe was hot on my feet and somewhat stiff. It didn't break in easily. The Voyager seemed perfect on my foot. It is not waterproof but better for me since my feet get hot and uncomfortable. I did like the shoe and it was a close second.

The shoe is well made and attractive. I like the color, style, comfort in support, the function. I wanted the shoe to work. However, it rubs my ankle bone.Therefore, I need to return. Runs somewhat large. I usually wear a 6. I ordered 6 and 6.5. The larger shoe fit.

The Keen Targhee EXP WP would be great for hiking. While wearing them inside my home, the shoes offered comfort and support. I purchased them because I wanted a waterproof shoe or boot, and I like the wide toe bed of Keen's. I am returning them, however, not because of any problem, but because I wanted a more versatile shoe--one that I could wear in inclement weather that didn't look like I was ready to hit the trails. I wanted a waterproof shoe or boot for my rain/shine volunteer efforts as well as a casual lunch with friends on a rainy day.

Normally wear a 6.5M, bought these in 6.5M and they fit perfectly. They are super comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box, not too tight and well cushioned/supported. The show is made well and sturdily. The materials are high quality. They offer a lot of support even though they are not high top boots that cover your ankle. I have worn them several times this year at Bear Lake, Utah and in Logan Canyon (Utah) for hikes etc. with no wear or tear to the shoes.

I ordered the Keen Targhee EXP, in a 9.5M and a 10M. I have a wide foot and wear a toe splint. (Don't think bulky, but it does require a little extra room in the toe box.) The 9.5M was too short and didn't give me enough room in the toe box. It is being retuned. The 10M is what I ended up keeping. Even though it didn't come in a wide, the 10M gave me extra length and width. The footbed fit my foot better AND was much more supportive. IF you are looking for a similar shoe and have to have a wide, try the Keen Flint Utility shoe. It DOES come in a wide and it fit me well. I didn't keep it, only because the foot bed wasn't as supportive as the Targhee EXP. The foot bed/insole does come out and could be replaced. The down-side to this shoe is that it is a work shoe and has a steel toe. (No, you can't see the steel toe, but it does make the shoe heavier.) Steel toes aren't a deal breaker for me, if a shoe fits & is comfortable.

I originally ordered my usual size 10 in these, but when I tried them on they were a bit short. But I simply called up Zappos and they had a 10.5 out to me the next day! Super comfy right out of the box. I like that they’re waterproof, which will come in handy for a potentially cool, rainy trip to Ireland in October. I have always trusted Keen for quality, long lasting footwear and I’m sure these won’t disappoint. Loved these shoes but decided I didn't need waterproof hiking shoes

Really nice shoe but a bit too narrow for my feet.

I bought these and Vasque Breeze. I kept the Vasque. At first, I thought these would be the winner. But after walking around in both, there was just something uncomfortable about the Keens (one thing is the top of the shoe near the first eyelet is stiff and was digging a bit into my ankle/top of foot). In addition, they felt about 1/2 size larger (I'm normally an 8) - these felt larger than that. And maybe b/c of that, my heel wanted to slide out of the shoe a bit. I had no problem with the Vasque so these were returned.

I am really disappointed with Keen. Their shoes are running small and my toes bump the ends of the shoe even in 1/2 size up. The soles are stiff and I walk like a duck in them. Going back - still looking for a good pair of hiking shoes.

needed a hiking shoe that could take wet conditions. Keens generally run wide but this one didn't. After just 10 minutes standing my little toes were already hurting. And even with my own arch supports, they still weren't very comfortable. Very stiff shoe. back it goes

I've had many pairs of Keen shoes and hiking boots over the years. This style has a narrower toe box (the wide toe box is the reason I buy Keens) than any other Keen shoe I've had. Not comfortable and have to return.

I recently developed plantar fasciitis, which has been really fun. These shoes have arch support that you can feel the moment you put them on, which is awesome. I recently wore them on a walk-a-thon in the rain. They remained dry (yay for waterproofing!) and though my feet weren't feeling great, they didn't kill me. The shoes are boxy and big, so they aren't the prettiest, but right now what I care about is comfort and these are awesome!

I bought these for my daughter and they did not fit, I suggest if you want to wear thick socks size up.

Well made, comfortable, love that they're waterproof and I I can hose them off, love the grippers on the bottom for hiking up or down hills.

My favorite keens...no break in time. Have used for hiking on rocks and works like a charm as well as walking on pavement.
