Cute, comfy, lot of compliments. These aren’t amazing in the arch support area though. I have arch problems so these aren’t great but aren’t bad either. Born always runs small for me. I’m usually a 6 but 6.5 in these are what I ordered and fit fine. One thing to note that you can’t tell in the pic-these are a little too much on the pointy toe side almost like a cowboy boot from the front for me. I like them from the side but from the front they look like you might listen to country and I’m more of a Depeche Mode girl. So if you don’t want to look country ish you might not like.

I like the stylish look of these boots. The ankle is neither too tight nor too wide, so you can wear thick socks and leggings, but there's not a tremendous gap when you choose jeans or pants instead. The only problem is that water WILL seep through the bottom of these boots! Walking near a pond had my socks completely soaked, even though there was no standing water present. So, big points for style, less for foot protection.

Beautiful and comfortable. However, the leather creased right at the point of my toes when I walked, so this was a no go for me as it squished and would definitely cause discomfort for long wears. Otherwise, they are soft and well made and are a nice classic chelsea boot. I am a solid 9 in Born (and others) and these were true to size.

Too "man-ish" for me. The toe in person just looks like a mans dress shoe. Otherwise they were fine.

I bought these before taking a 3 week trip to Europe last fall. I really needed a shoe that could be versatile enough to dress up and still be my primary shoe. These tuned out to be perfect! I was concerned at first because I'm a 10.5 and the 10 felt a little tight while the 11 felt really too big - after a couple weeks of wear they stretched out really well. The only part of my trip they didn't work well for was in the very rainy parts of rural Scotland, they could handle a good amount of rain but needed a break and some dry time afterwards.

These fit perfectly right out of the box. I wouldn't say that are narrow, but that they are snug in a good way. I say that because I have a narrow heel (otherwise normal width foot) and this shoe wasn't slipping around at all! Easy to slip on and off though using the loop on the back. Black leather is professional looking but low heel is comfortable. No discomfort after wearing them for long days of business travel, but I suppose the arch support could be better. Definitely recommend.

This boots are amazing! I'm generally between a 9.5 and a 10 and the 9.5 fit great for me. I have relatively narrow feet and ankles, so booties are hard for me to find. The ankles of these are perfect - just enough room to not look frumpy without pants tucked in, but enough room to comfortably tuck in pants if need! The leather and footbed are SUPER soft (as with all Born shoes) and I was able to wear them comfortably right out of the box. I walk about 3/4 of a mile each way on my NYC commute and on day 1 these are more comfortable than most of the other shoes in my closet. I plan on taking them for a long weekend in Paris over Thanksgiving and am excited to have something comfortable and stylish to get me through long days on my feet! Another reviewer commented that these were too "man-ish" for them - to that I'd say that these are an androgynous style - they aren't meant to be overly feminine and are perfect for 2018/2019.

After a recent trip to Paris I decided to look for a pair of sturdy yet stylish Chelsea boots (all the city girls were wearing them!). I ordered three different pairs, and these were the absolute stand-out in terms of quality of materials and construction - they are really beautifully made, and the leather is excellent quality. I particularly loved the burnished tones around the heel and toe areas. Felt like a glove when I first put them on, and have been a dream: they were the only shoes I packed on a trip to Asheville, and I wore them comfortably all weekend. They're supportive in all the right places, true to size (I'm a 10ish, and they toe box is perfectly comfortable without sliding or cramping), and the styling is sleek and practical without being overly clunky or boxy. In short: they're perfect. If you want a book that is both practical and stylish, this is it!

Super comfortable and durable, great loden color

Great shoe, very comfortable, but as previous viewers have stated, I needed a half size larger. I normally wear a 9 and have a wide foot. The 9.5 is very comfortable. Wore it all day the first time. It's very smart looking. Recommended if you are looking for a classic look without embellishments and want to be comfortable. The foot bed is very soft.

Very comfortable but they are not made to last at all. The 2nd time I wore these the heel tore and exposed the white plastic base. One month of wearing and they are still comfortable but the heel base has completely broken. The rubber heel has collapsed and makes a loud noise when walking now.

Love this boot! It's very comfortable and stylish. I bought them for my Scotland trip this summer, knowing I will be doing a lot of walking.

These are great boots for a good price. They're comfortable and have a reasonable amount of arch support, which I need as a person with high arches and some trouble with foot pain. For me, they ran a little large. I usually wear a 9 but I had to return that size for an 8.5.

I recently ordered these boots for an upcoming trip. To break them in, I wore them two days in a row for 12+ hours each day. My feet never hurt. Born makes a very comfortable shoe.

Love these boots! after trying several - these are exactly what i was looking for and are very comfortable out of the box - if you need a solid chelsea boot - this is a great option!

Because they are from Born I knew they would be quality. they fit perfectly and very comfortable. Exactly what I was hoping for!

Got these boots today, put them on and walked miles. Love them. I have ridiculously narrow feet and these fit better than anything that I have tried and I love the look. Super happy.

I originally ordered my standard size 7 but had to return and downsize to a 6.5. I love this little boot! The gray is very stylish and goes with everything. The boot hits at a great spot and is not too wide around the ankle opening which I love. They are super easy to put on and take off. The first time I wore them they were very comfortable and didn't have to break them in. I would highly recommend!!

Great fit and style.

LOVE these! A bit snug at first, and I have semi-narrow feet, but comfortable after first wear with all-day comfort. The toe is on the pointier side, which gives it a sophisticated look. Very happy with this purchase.

After searching high and low for short brown boots, I've finally found the perfect pair! I wore these right out of the box for a week around Israel and they have been super comfortable. I love the style - they can be dressed up or down. They are also easy to get on and off your feet. I am usually between a 9 and a 9.5. I ordered both and the 9 was great, so I recommend choosing the smaller of the two sizes if you are in between sizes.

They are great, all the way around, for everyone except if your ball joint is big, or you're wide just above your toes. Then, wear thin socks. And perhaps take them to be stretched. I love mine, and I have worn them about four times. Each time, the shoes and I both relax, and they feel great. For people asking about long-lasting beauty: they are suede = dress shoes. Treat them as such, and you'll be fine. For people thinking they look too manly, think 1960's gogo beatnik vibe, and wear with a matching long-sleeve mock turtleneck over colorful pants. Black boot and sweater over burgundy or green or rust pants is sooo cool. With a sort of poncho wrap or something.

Classic Chelsea boot. The black leather boot is actually very smooth unlike in the picture. These would work well with black pants for work as well as more casually with jeans.
