While these shoes do seem to run true to size (I wear a 9, whereas in a Nike I need a 9.5), they have a few design flaws which means I'm sending them back. I'm really having a hard time finding a lightweight trail running/light hiking sneaker that's GTX or water resistant!! The lacing system is made of crappy pleather loops that are super difficult to thread (too small, all different shapes, sticky material) and tough to tighten/loosen. Second, the lacing goes up too high and there aren't alternative loops, so it pressed the tongue directly down on your tendons of your instep. Within seconds of walking up and down in my house, I could feel the tongue rubbing on my instep and could see it would quickly cause a sore spot, not to mention eventually cause my foot to go numb. Finally, in order to be waterproof the tongue/intsep is one piece, but they way its folded means you have a giant folded piece of material pressing into the sides of your foot if you lace up and tied the shoe, which was immediately uncomfortable. I can't imagine how i would feel after an hour or two on a trail. The tread looked great!

This is an excellent shoe for running/walking in the winter in rainy Seattle. It keeps my feet dry and warm. They are a bit stiff, and heavier that regular running shoes, but that's typical for GoreTex shoes.

Good waterproof shoe, but the sole proved too rigid to use for running

Did not like how these fit at all and have been wearing only Adidas for years. They gave very little support and the right shoe felt narrower then the left. I need something with a stiff support and these were not it. I did like the color.
