I've worn HOKA brand shoes for years. The Stinson ATR4 is such a big improvement over last year's models. Toe box is bigger and the tongue isn't actually sewn to the top. The last version was so hard to get my feet into. Friends comment on how large the shoe looks but it's all about comfort. I am a walker and hiker not a runner and these shoes are like pillows for my feet. I converted years ago to HOKA before having foot surgery but still wear them. My only complaint might be is to have a larger color selection. They are expensive but worth it.

Everyone's feet are different but for me, I really miss the days of Hoka French ownership. Almost every Hoka was a great shoe. Now it's his or miss, mostly miss for me. The ATR 4 does fix the narrow-ness issue of the previous version and I'm keeping this shoe. Combine the ATR 3 sole with the ATR 4 fit and I'd stock up for 20 years. Colors that make sense? That's probably asking too much.

Great shoe with lots of cushion. I have had knee pain after running in the past but I've taken these on several runs already and the knees feel great afterwards. I think the larger mid-sole helps shorten my stride, which also helps.

Zappos had my ordered shipped to me by the guaranteed date! As for the shoe, I have the original Stinson! Love it!But the Stinson ATR 4, the good is the toe box is phenomenal! The bad is they have cheapened the shoe. And the ugly is they went from a 6mm drop to a 5mm drop. So sad!

Pretty pleased with the ATR 4s. As with all the Hoka lineage, there was a loss of quality from first generation iterations to what we deal with now due to the Decker's acquisition and some quality control issues. I think there is a genuine effort to get back to basics and I see it in these, although nothing will beat what the French did when these things hit the market. The 4's last closer the the traditional lifespan of a pair of running shoes (300 miles) before showing signs of significant wear. This has been a reliable pair and I went with the 4's twice in a row based on the ample toe box and go-to out of the box fit I have come to expect from Hoka. I will say that I still have a pair of original ATRs that I walk around in that feel great. These won't last that long, but they are great for a few months of heavy running.

My third pair of Hoka Stinson's (1 lite and 3). I love them. Great for my plantar fasciitis. Feel like the really grab the ground.

I’m a Hoka fan, specifically the Stinson line, for several years. I totally loved Hoka Stinson 3, which IMMEDIATELY relieved crippling pain from torn meniscus and other muscle irritants along with bursitis. These are also comfortable, true to the standards I like in this line. I also tried the Stinson 5, also good, but noticeably shorter in height. That’s not bad, but I like the taller feel of these. Still lightweight, still colorful, still as cushioned as necessary to keep leg pain away!

True Hoka One One Size. A lot of room for my toes and orthotics. I like the black/kumquat color variation. It is not as flashy as a lot of Hoka One One color ways. When walking on hard floors the heel is firm, but not outside walking on trails.

I use this product mainly for walking/everyday wear/gym. I wore Merrells for decades. But the most recent pair (purchased about a month ago) didn't work. They hurt my feet. I returned them and swapped them out for the Hoka's. My feet haven't hurt since. The Hoka's have a nice rigid sole and nice wide front, or box. I've found my new favorite shoes. Thanks.

The fit is great! The Stinson ATR4 is THE MOST comfortable running shoes I ever invested in! I can’t express enough how happy I’m am to finally find some running shoes with sufficient cushioning when running. After a run, my legs and joints feel great!

Decided to wear my normal trail go to shoes for the NYC Marathon. Had a great run and no foot issues, which was huge for me. Thanks Hoka for helping to make the adventure of a lifetime possible.

As a coach of both cross country and track, I am encouraging all my athletes to look into purchasing Hokas. Kids that have been injury prone in the past have had an injury free season and I love running in them!

Just started "running" again after a hip replacement 4 months ago. My new pair of Stinsons give me the all the support I need.

Love these shoes. Most comfortable I have ever bought. I bought 2 more pairs to rotate them. I wear them everyday for work and play. Really reduces foot and leg fatique.

Really liked this shoe enough so ordered a second pair. Time will tell how it holds up but comfort wise excellent for me on dirt roads and trails. Only problem I had was the time to get them. 14 days from the date of order is a bit much. Must have used bicycle messenger cross country. Pony express would have been faster.

I hate buying sneakers. The sizes are never consistent between upgraded modifications so every time I buy I always have to go through the sizing BS. Having said this I am buying a second pair of the Stinson ATR 4 a month after purchasing my first pair because they are awesome and I want to avoid resizing for their next generation. When fitted properly these sneakers have all the right room, comfort, cushioning and support. They make me feel like I am running on marshmallows. Although they have improved the look of them enormously with the Stinson, they remain hideous. Hoka One, please tame the ridiculous color combinations. The shoes profile is so large the loud color schemes are superfluous. However hideous the sneakers may be however they are a fantastic pair of "equipment" for running.

I recently underwent major back surgery and spent over $500 looking for ideal walking and hiking shoes to help with diminishing the jamming effect of my triple laminectomy. I bought several expensive brands including the Hoka One One Stinson ATR 4. This shoe is amazing! Firstly, it is very comfortable to wear and breathes very well without letting dirt or sand filter in on trails. The shoe fits perfectly (I'm a female who must wear mens size 7.5 USA shoes due to my wide feet) with decent arch support, very adequate width and amazing cushioning to provide the spring I was looking for. All of the things I wanted were achieved without sacrificing ideal fit and comfort. The shoe is much lighter weight than my Merrell Moab 2's which had been my optimal shoe for walking and hiking in every terrain. Because of the weight, excellent cushioning, good width and terrific comfort, the ATR 4 has become my go to shoe over two other expensive Asics and Brooks models I had purchased at the same time. They sadly have become expensive shoes to just run out to have lunch in.

Trail running mostly. I run on the waters edge so the sand and big granite rocks have a mixed variation of surface. Very good traction and support.

I love that the designers went back to the wider toe box in the newly designed Stinson ATR 4 My only negative comment is that the shoe does not have the same "cushy" feel at the last Stinson iteration. It's a nice feel, bit nowhere near as soft and cushy as the previous Stinson version. All that being said, this is my go to trail shoe forever...end of story. I do not or will not buy any other running shoe, whether it be for trail or road. Thank you Hoka for all that you do to make incredible running shoes. Best in the business in my book.
