I'm a big fan of these shoes. I bought them to withstand the storms of the northeast while still looking good in the office with a pair of jeans. They're comfortable and the style is distinctive. The only downside is the sole is a bit stiff - I'd prefer a little more flexibility. Overall, I love em!

I searched for years to find a quality low cut boot I could wear around town during the cool and cold months. My only choices were big, bulky, stiff snow boots or ugly, uncomfortable and usually expensive chukkas. This year I found what I was looking for - the North face Edgewood.
It's a low cut boot with certain qualities of a sneaker and there is only a little bulk, yet enough to provide good protection for me feet. The leather, color and styling is instantly recognizable as high quality. You get what you pay in this boot, which is on the pricier side of footwear in general.
The fit is great, for a boot. It is not as comfortable as a sneaker though. I got a half size larger than my actual foot size. The walking comfort is very good. I could walk miles in these with no discomfort. The support is very good, for a boot. I believe this could be improved and made even better though.
The fleece lining is very thin. It is not like a plush, fur lined boot or anything. I have only worn the Edgewood for maybe 10 minutes in 32F or so and my feet stayed warm. I do not know however if they would be warm enough for longer periods of time but they will definitely be warmer then regular sneakers.

I bought these for winter wear as an alternative to true winter boots or sneakers. The leather is a good quality, and looks great. I have yet to wear them in true wet (snowy or rainy) weather, but so far I trust the waterproof capabilities of this shoe. THEY ARE COMFORTABLE. No issues wearing these all day long or standing in them at work. They have held up well in the 2 months since purchasing. I treated the leather with Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP, and put cedar shoe trees in them after every use. A little care goes a long way, and I plan on keeping these in the rotation for as long as they will let me!

These shoes are fantastic! I work at a car lot, and the shoes have a fleece lining, are waterproof and have a gripping sole. They did take a few days to break in, but now they feel great. The do feel big in the toes, but they wear great. I plan on wearing these shoes in fall, winter, and spring. They have endured much walking in the few weeks I have owned them, and I am trusting North Face durability. I would recommend them and plan to purchase again.

I wore these a number of time last winter. I recently took them out again for this winter. The leather on the upper heel of one of the boots is very faded. This is weird because they seem like such good quality. I did nothing I can think of that would have caused this.
I wore them with fairly thick wool socks for 20 minutes outside in about 25F and my feet were cold! So not for longer periods below freezing.

I literally wore this shoe one time to break them in prior to a trip to the alps. I got them hoping I could cut down on packing by having a hiking shoe that was stylish.
In the one time I wore them I think they are ruined forever due to either rain or sweat (both occurred). Moisture got in through the seams around the toe, creating extremely noticeable stains which persist even when dried out. You either can't sweat in this shoe or get it wet or it's ruined. Total waste of money.
