I always prefer to wear shoes for a bit before writing a review as I think that is more useful, so two months in… here's the report. I've purchased Propet before and one of the reasons is that I can remove their insoles and add my own orthotics. I liked the look of these - kind of a hi-top but not exactly a sneaker. They look fine with jeans or pants and are okay for a business-casual office. The shoe uppers are some kind of fabric that is comfortable right out of the box. If you have bunions or pressure-sensitive areas you should have no problems with these. The support seems okay though not much side-support (not unexpected for fabric tops). I wouldn't wear these hiking or walking on uneven cobblestones but they're fine for city streets. I got the black metallic which is only dazzling in bright light - otherwise, it just adds some visual interest to what otherwise would be a plain black shoe. I like these enough that I might buy another pair, maybe in grey. I'm curious to see how they'll do in rainy weather with the fabric tops. The main negative is the white soles, which of course look grimy the minute you hit the streets. This trend is everywhere and I can't wait for it to be over. Black soles would look SO much better.

I continue to be surprised by this shoe. I wore it all over London and had no problems with it, despite having a pretty serious bone spur. I’m not even sure if they actually have arch support, but they have been great. I love them - great style, very comfortable. Not very warm for high tops. I have stupid wide feet and these feel so good.

I am a true 8.5D but in many styles I need to go up to a 9 wide to actually have them be wide enough. I ordered this in the 8.5W and they fit perfectly. I need a shoe with a removable footbed to accomadate my custom orthotic and some ankle support. This shoe fits my needs perfectly! I understand that some people might think that these are long, but I think they are actually wide enough and so you don't need to go longer to make the shoe wide enough!

Comfortable but can't wear without socks of some sort. the inside of the tongue is not attached to the shoe properly and irritates the top of my foot. Wear with socks and they're great shoes.

I love Propet for their size range, but their arch support & cushioning is awful. It's like walking directly on the ground. No cushion or support at all. I buy them because I need the size, but then end up buying extra thick insoles AND arch support insoles to make them comfortable.

Really wanted to like these because they're stylish and available in hard-to-find 4E, but I'll return them. The tongue rubs hard on my legs, even with socks on. The overall size is okay except that the toe is almost an inch too long.

These shoes are truly comfortable and amazing looking. The top is softer then regular shoes so it expands as your feet swallow. I am wearing these as daily walking shoes in pregnancy and they have been amazing.

The fit is good for length and the wide is a little wider than I like in the toe box (this has not been my experience with other Propet shoes). At first, I felt that the arch starts in an uncomfortable place for my foot, but after wearing for a few days, it's ok. Because of the extra width I can put an insole if I decide. I am not a fashionista, but I am getting lots of compliments on them. size 6.5 W or D.

I love wearing them with jeans...very trendy and they look non-old lady-ish!

I loved the style, fit and feel of these shoes. Super light and breathable. The bottom is very thin so not a great all terrain shoe but perfect for indoor, paved or grassy walking.

I really like the shoe and feels great on. I have problems with bunions, so the width was great. I wish they had some more arch support.

Love these shoes! Bought them a year ago, they are now my go-to shoes for running errands, casual dinners and events, etc. They are cute but so comfortable. I travel a lot for business and was looking for a shoe that could do double-duty as a workout shoe plus an alternative to heels for business casual evening events. They aren't great workout shoes, didn't really fill that requirement but they are a step up from sneakers to wear with slacks for after-work dinners.

These are really comfortable. They run a bit wide for my narrow foot, I have to cinch down a bit on the laces, but they still look great, and I get constant compliments. Everyone from the older folks at the gym to my super looks conscience nephew.

Gift for Granddaughter, she loves them. Zappo's may want to look into their use of UPS for shipping. The shoes sat in Portland for three days (non holiday, non weekend) before making the short 82 mile journey to our home. Arriving 2 days late, and missing the party. Second time UPS has messed up on a Zappo order of mine. Love Zappo's, wish they used a more reliable shipper.

Summary: nice style, very comfortable, WIDE FIT!!! These are the first women's shoes I've been able to buy in a long time. I need a wide width and removeable insole so I can insert orthotics. It's been impossible to find a 4E. I wanted a high top too. It's a lightweight shoe with a low heel-toe drop. Non-slip, non-marking soles are excellent. All of these characteristics make it a great shoe. I'm not totally crazy about the metallic look but it's subtle the black and not bad. I'm getting a second pair. I hope Propet continues to make this shoe or something very much like it... I'll keep getting it. P.Z. With respect to problems with the tongue, I have found it very comfortable. It's most likely an individual fit thing.

Really liked these but had to return them. I have hyper mobile joints and needed better support. Loved the look material though.

Bought the Black Metallic in my usual size (8.5) and found them to be at least half a size too large. My toes felt like they were swimming! Unfortunately, the laces start relatively high up on the foot, so it wasn't even possible to lace the shoe tighter to make it fit better. The style is SUPER cute -- the black metallic has a great silvery weave to it -- so I will be exchanging for the correct size and wearing all spring.

Really like the cuteness of this shoe especially the bit of silver sparkle. I have 4AAAA heel so any shoe is hard to find. Like this shoe and LOVE Zappos. I actually find shoes and have CHOICES! Usually if I can find shoes at all I have two pairs to choose from at the most. Back to this shoe, I sorta had to break in, but solved tightness problem by simply loosening the laces. Get compliments on style. This shoe gets a Yeah from me.

These seemed super long to me, and since I ordered the extra wide I was expecting the width to be more noticeable. That is to say, I like that these don’t LOOK wide. The shoe has very little structure, but that makes them comfy and light. Alas, I need more stability.

It would have been perfect. However, like another reviewer described, there is extra material around the front / toe-part of the tongue, which cuts the skin in the dorsum of your foot, even with socks on...

Definitely a size large at least. Didn’t like how it hit the back of my ankle/leg.

These are very attractive for comfort shoes but for me they are too wide (but they are true to size). I think if you are the kind of person who uses orthotics this is probably a really great shoe. I was looking for a post foot-surgery shoe and this was recommended by the Zappos customer representative. I totally understand why this was recommended but I need a shoe that provides more support even without a custom orthotic.
