The absolute worst pair of boots I have ever purchased. Quality/workmanship is horrific. One boot was a completely different color than the other, the flower design was much deeper/darker on the right than the left boot and the braided band was cut along the edge sloppy and braid ends weren't dyed properly. Soles and heel are cheap rubber. This product is an ugly nightmare. Zappos has no quality control anymore? You lost my business. I haven't purchased shoes in a few years from you. Never again.

The other two reviews for these were not great, but I splurged anyway, and I'm glad I did. These are gorgeous and comfortable. They do have a little bit of a handmade look, but they are handmade, so I like it. They look like the photos in my opinion. The braided ends are undyed, but they are in the photos too. As for the feel, they feel great. The lining is leather and is comfortable. I could feel a little bend in the bottom when I walked but it didn't bother me. The heel bottom is rubber that is nailed into the wood heel, which I thought was cool. Overall I'm really happy with these. I'm glad I took the chance.

Boots are cute. Color 8s not as dark as it appears in photo. Really a light, light washed out black to grey. My husband thought all the brads looked like frankenstein. They are cuter to me via picture than in person.

This looks and feels like painted fake leather. I really wanted these boots based on photos but in reality they are not my style. Like the braiding and turquoise lining.

The Good The boot is sturdy, made with good-quality leather. The heel is a comfortable height for walking. The overall workmanship is good, except for a problem described below. The style is unique. The Hmmmm If you have a high arch, you will NEVER get these on. Mine is moderately high and I had to really wrestle to get into them. (The problem is not the belt/buckle decoration, which purely decorative and quite thin.) Once I got them on, they were quite snug thru the toe box and across the ball of my foot, but I feel like they'd stretch with regular wear. There is ZERO padding in the insole, which is disappointing in a $200 pair of boots, but the heel height is good and I think they would be comfortable for most people. The colors shown on the web page are not accurate. Everything is pretty much dark brown, and the buckle and guard are both fairly dark and dull. The tooling and toe cap are also not as distinctive as the appear on the web page. It's a shame, as the design is unique and interesting. The Bad There are vertical seams on the outer side of the shaft. As you can see in the photo, the shaft is lined in turquoise leather, which covers the seams. The right boot was fine, but the seam on the left boot rolled or was improperly sewn and laid against my ankle bone. It was really uncomfortable when wearing socks, but it was absolutely agonizing barefoot. I am returning this pair, and I'm not sure if I'll try again. Reviews elsewhere seem positive, so it might be worth it. If I do, though, I'm getting some gold leather paint for the braid trim and some gold metal paint for the buckle and guard.
