Very comfortable shoes but they are very narrow. Loved the look but they don't have a wide size available.

I just finished my first run with this shoe. I’m really pleased. They are just a tad narrower, but still really comfortable and I can’t wait until they’re really broken in.

Size runs a size small. This is a minimal support cross country racer.

I normally run in Merrell Trail Gloves, in which I wear a size 10 (US men). In order to get back to running as quickly as possible after a minor injury I decided to try something with a bit more padding until my foot is back to 100%. These were what I chose. Zappos' size tool suggested that, based on size 10 Merrells fitting me well, I should get a size 10 in these. However, based on the fact that I could not specifically indicate that it's Merrell's barefoot line that I wear a size 10 in, as well as some comments about these running small, I pulled out an old pair of Saucony Jazz that I used to wear casually to see what size they were. They were size 11, and fit me comfortably--maybe slightly on the loose size in width. So I ordered size 11 in these. Now having worn them, I think that size 11 is probably the best fit I can get in these shoes, but it is not perfect. To wear them in, I did not go for a run the first time that I wore them. Instead I went for a trail hike. I found them mostly comfortable (and they did not aggravate my injury), but I did experience some pain in my toes from them being smooshed in the tiny toe box. (Standing still in these shoes I have nearly an inch of clearance between the end of my toes and the end of the shoes, but the width is a little tight for my toes. The width along the rest of my foot is pleasantly snug. When hiking downhill, my toes get crushed.) The next day I tried running, on a path with only a gradual change in elevation, and experienced very little toe discomfort, and no other discomfort or aggravation of my injury.
So, for the purpose that I purchased these for--running with a bit more padding than I'm used to--I'm mostly happy with these. However, if I ever shop for flats again, I will try harder to find a brand that makes shoes that are shaped like feet.
