These work shoes feel as comfortable as bedroom slippers. Plenty of room; soft leather, substantial soles; really comfortable.

As long as I get the width right, I generally am successful in getting comfortable footwear. Unfortunately these Rockport Works didn’t work for me. Toe box and width were spot on, but my heel slid a bit side-to-side...without any fore-and-aft shift. And the lace-up at the top gave me dreaded pressure points—something hooks vice eyelets might resolve. Other than that, the boots are great. ??

Years ago , I wore a different brand of Work boot...until that boot was discontinued.... Then Fortunately , I came across this Rockport Works , Work boot (they used to have a nice Buckskin tan color , but not anymore ). I hope to goodness , this Item 6628 does not ever get discontinued. I Really cant understand any of the negative reviews. This boot Is Nice and Wide ,...I've tried boots claiming to be extra wide that I couldn't even get my foot into. This one has the extra toe space and doesN'T have those stupid lacing hooks which either doesn't hold the lace or they cut into the lace.... Man what a comfortable boot. If my boss would let me... ( my Co buys our safety shoes ) I'd buy two every Yr.

I wore it for a couple days. Didn't realize it would pinch the ankles. I'm on my feet in a warehouse for 12+ hours a day, so I need something that'll be comfortable whether i'm walking fast, climbing stairs or standing in place.

Whoever designed these has never worn work boots for extended periods. First, why would you put eyelets in the top few lacings instead of hooks? You really have to fight keeping the tongue tucked in while you're fiddling with lacing up eyelets. Second, and more importantly, why, oh why, would anyone think it's a good idea to put a lacing eyelet (or even a hook) directly over your ankle?! Instead of being inline with the rest of the eyelets, that one is directly over your ankle bone! If you actually lace them up using that eyelet, and as tight as they need to be, one step and you're in pain. The only way to get around it is to skip that eyelet, use the rest of the uppers, and wrap the excess laces around the top. The problem there, with the the issue of eyelets v. hooks, caused them to constantly come loose. I wore these boots for about a month, got tired of the fight, then went back to a pair of military issue flight boots I still had. Sorry Rockport, never again.

Great boot can stand on concrete all day with no foot pain. They look a little funny but if you have to work all day at a warehouse or construction site, etc, there is nothing better

Just ordered these Rockport work boots and they seemed to fit like a glove. I still have to use them for 10 hour days but having sold shoes and Rockports way back in my younger days for five years I am very familiar with their great experience as a quality shoe company. I've had their dress, casual, sandals and boots before but these are actually my true first pair of work boots. I think they are much lighter than true steel toe boots and I can definitely see the quality from a Rockport product. I will definitely update after using these for 3 months. But I can tell everyone I am happy with my choice so far.

The boots fit great, the leather feels nice and they are super comfortable wearing them during the work week.

It’s hard to find shoes my size. Some shoes need to be extra wide in order to accommodate my ankle foot orthotics. 15 extra wide is hard to find

These are some of the most comfortable work boots I've ever owned. They're a little wide in appearance as well as in fit but thicker socks make them fit pretty well I returned a pair of Rebook work boots for these and I'm glad I did it. The laces are easily tightened and stay in place due to tighter eyelets at the top. Some reviews say they're heavy but I disagree. They're no heavier than a pair of his hinting boots and far lighter than steel toed boots. The foot bed is very, very comfortable and doesn't cause fatigue. They fell like they were molded to fit my foot straight out of the box. The leather is very nice and soft yet feels thick and very sturdy. Stitching is very nice and there aren't any strings hanging out or loose. Waterproof beyond what I expected but I still treated them with mink oil. The oil darkened them a little at first but it looked better. The color returned to the original tan after a few days. I wore them for a couple days to break them in before going to work but I could tell from day one that it was not necessary. If you know anything about Rockport then you know their reputation for comfort. These do not disappoint. They aren't the most stylish design but I'm only using them for work so I don't really care about that. Although they aren't the most fashionable, I don't think they're ugly.

For woman the shoe conversion can be a little difficult so make sure to look up the proper information so that you don't accidentally order too large or small of a shoe (width size should be considered). But besides that these shoes are perfect. I have wide feet, and large toes so the larger toe box is very accommodating to my larger sized feet. I have never had toe pinching issues or blisters from these shoes while working a ten hour day. I have no issues with walking through liquids or areas with large amounts or dirt so the slip resistance is perfect. As advertised they do not trip alarms at security gates. The laces aren't as complicated to tie as some have said, but I'm used to wearing shoes like these. I would recommend these to anyone.

Perfect shoe, right out of the box..

My husband liked these boots so much that he didn't want to use them for work. So he ordered a second pair. Now he has comfy work boots & comfy out-and-about boots. (He doesn't normally fall in love with his footwear, but I guess there's always a first time.)

Boots feel comfortable I would buy them again.

I bought these to serve as a pair of barn boots and they have done a tremendous job meeting my needs.

This shoe was awesome, great fit (for Me), and reasonably durable. The only failing I found was some of the materials were substandard. For instance the padding around the collar of the boot loses its vinyl covering in a short period of time, doesn't affect the wear-ability of the boot but it is unsightly. And the stitching on the outside of the boot does tend to give up after a couple years.

Very comfortable from the get.

I always picked with my husband as he has the same pair. I called them Elmer Fudd shoes. He's diabetic and don't play with the comfort of his feet. After returning a failed pair that looked good but felt terrible, I tried these. #Sold. I did buy them a 1/2 size bigger because they didn't have 8.5. The composite toe is round so my toes are free. I did have to use a work gel insert for the extra space. Full disclosure, my middle toe on my right foot gets irritated. I may cut my insert shorter in that shoe to relieve any additional pressure. Otherwise these were a great choice. I'm going to try the Rockport Works sneakers for the summer.
