I actually bought these several years back from Zappos, so this is a retrospective review. Bought the center lo style in a men's size 9. I'm older now and like many older folks have a hard time with classic converse-style canvass gym shoes and any other type shoes with a flat footbed and little to no arch support; but, again because I am old, I'm stuck on the classic styling because it's what I grew up with (also, Jonny Quest wore PF Flyers!) and find the new style of gym shoes to be ridiculous, way too wide or tricked out to where they either look like orthopedic shoes or something a small child might wear (you know, gimmicks and flashing lights, etc.). Anyway, PF Flyers seemed to be the perfect solution due to styling, brand recognition, and arch support, and they were.. for about 5 minutes. That's when I realized they were sized way small (the pitfall of many unisex shoes), and also a bit narrow. I eventually gave my size 9 PF Flyers to my wife, who wears a women's size 9 and she found them to be a perfect fit, so that should tell you something about sizing. While it's also true that in my old age my shoe size has gotten a bit bigger (used to be 8.5 until I turned 50, now I am 9 or 9 wide, 9.5 in a pinch), PF Flyers and all other similar type gym shoes are sized just way, way too tight. On the good side, the arch support is OK, definitely 100% better than Converse, which are utterly unwearable by comparison. Also, it's not that I got fat, I remain fairly skinny, so it's not a case of a fat old man blaming the world when his blubbery body + gravity blows out a pair of new shoes prematurely. I may one day try another pair of PF Flyers, but only if I can try them on first, and I would DEFINITELY start out no smaller than 9.5 or even size 10 (remember: I am a men's size 9 judging by most shoe brands, except Born and Rockport, for some reason). If you must order online sight unseen, take a risk and order one size bigger to start out, but personally I would not risk it unless you get a kick out of sending shoes back until you find the right fit.

I've worn this style for years, and they last for years! High quality canvas with a bit of structure, thick comfy sole, removable insole, and not to high against the ankle. I own six pairs in multiple colors, but needed a fresh white pair for summer. I usually wear 8.5 women's, but always have to get PFs in 9 - which means 7.5 in men's. To clean, I remove the laces and insoles, stick everything in a lingerie bag and wash with a load of towels; pull the tongues open and let air dry before replacing the laces and insoles.

I normally wear a 9.5 and the 10 fit perfectly, so they run about a half size small. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the shoe felt the very first time I wore them, which was over the course of an entire day. The style is classic with with subtle blue and red striping. Definitely my shoes for next Fourth of July!

While these run about a half size small, and are slightly narrower than Converse, they are way more comfortable because they have a little more arch support and cushion -- feeling overall more substantial. They are also better made, and more stylish, as the details and stitching are better. I cannot wear a pair of Chuck Taylors without some sort of insert, and it should be said: a good one, like Superfeet, costs more than the shoe itself! PF Flyers can surprisingly be worn on their own. If you don't care about comfort and are just buying for looks: these are hands-down better than Chucks, in every regard.

I previously gave these a positive review when I first got these. I bought a pair for my myself /female and my boyfriend. After wearing a few times I realized mine felt kind of small and gave me a blood blister on my pinky toe. I ordered a size 7 and I am consistently a 7 and on a very rare occasion a 6 1/2. The rubber also separated from the canvas after light wear for a few months. I still think they are super cute and overall comfortable because they are cushiony.

I really want to like these. I am still undecided. I am a size 9 in almost every shoe I wear. These 9s were 3/8 of a size to small and the 9.5s are 3/8 of a size too big. Seriously. Just enough that my toe would touch or that they would slip. I am still hoping that the 9.5s will magically shrink 3/8 of a size....

Not great for long walks but I get lots of compliments. Also takes me back to my youth when I wore PF Flyers as a kid.

These are the cutest blue sneakers! I wear a size 6 or 6.5 women. Thought I ordered a size men 5, but obviously didn't. A size 4 was received, and I will be returning them only for that reason. Will definitely be reordering the correct size. I've always wanted to wear Converse, but the toe box was always too narrow making them so uncomfortable. These PF Flyers have a wider toe box and there is more cushion and support than Converse. They are well made and will look great with leggings, jeans, shorts or overalls.

They are great shoes. I like and enjoy the style of these shoes.

I ordered a half size larger than my size to account for width & that was perfect. They are wider than Chuck Taylor’s (esp in the toe area) which always squeeze my feet. I love the look of them. They are not highly cushioned, so don’t expect lots of support etc. They are a nice looking canvas sneaker.

I usually buy Converse high tops because the soles are removable (I have orthopedic inserts) and they fit me well, but after seeing that the PF flyers had removable soles and were less expensive, I decided to try these out. I wore the shoes as they came for a few days and they were pretty comfortable for flat style shoes. They're stylish with their own unique look and are constructed sturdier than the Converse shoes. I now have my inserts inside of the shoes and they are even better. I think i'm hopping on the PF Flyer wagon for now. I love these shoes so much. I get compliments on them all the time, especially from those who remember "The Sandlot" movie.

As others have said, order a half size up. I wear an 11 in Converse Chuck Taylor. I ordered an 11.5 in the PF Flyers and they fit perfectly. Pretty good support for this type of shoe. Comfortable and look great. I tried these instead of the Chuck's I have worn forever and I am glad I did.

I love these! I bought a pair for myself a size 5 ( I wear a size 7 in women's)and also a size 8 for my boyfriend. We both really like them. They are comfortable and cute.

This shoe is way better than Converse! More support and width, true to size. Cuter than Converse. I wear a women's size 6.5 so I got men's 5.5 and the fit great!

I am a size 12 in most shoes so I got a 12 in these shoes and they fit great! These shoes are much more comfortable than I thought they were gonna be. Second day I had them on while I was walking around downtown and they felt fine.

These shoes are so much better than Converse! Soft, supportive sole insert, better quality, better looking. So far, I've purchased the white, red and blue versions. Great shoes!

I have a wide size 12 foot. The size 12 fits perfectly and is very comfortable for a non-running type casual tennis shoe. These are not ASICS running shoes so don't think you're getting that. Arch support is as good as my Echo casual tennies. Remember, PF stands for posture foundation.

I have been buying PF Flyers for the past 10 years, I have always purchased a 12.5, they myst have switch manufacturers as they suddenly changed the size and fit. I now have to buy a 13.

LOVE the shoes super cute and super comfy. in one of the shoes the inside part comes out, but not in the other shoes so i’m not sure what happend there. but it’s not much of an issue and i love them

I am very flat footed so the arch support for me is great. My feet are wider than a medium width but do not need and extra wide shoe. These fit very comfortable and am planning on getting another pair in another color. They fit much better than chucks and did not need to size up like I do with chucks. Will continue to buy more of these.
