Cute style, but didn’t stay on my active 6 year old. His gym teacher at school even ask if we could find another sneaker for him on gym days because the Velcro kept popping off when he tried to run around.

My son wears out most sneakers in about 6 weeks. His gait is such that his big toe tears through the front. This has happened with a number of fairly pricey sneakers (New Balance, Adidas, Tsukihoshi) so now the only styles I'll buy for him are Plae and Converse because the rubber toe heel makes them far more durable than other sneakers. Plaes are easier to get on and typically more comfortable than Converse but now that my son is a sports nut and more gear conscious he wants the recognizable "adult" brand.

These shoes are great! Very durable, and the color combo goes with almost everything. An added bonus is that these are super easy for my son to put on himself.

My son lived in these for as long as he could wear them. They never wore out, even though he was a busy guy. Plae were our go-to shoes when he was a toddler and little kid. If you on the fence - do it! These are the best ever.

We love our Plae shoes! They’re durable and will outlast any play ground shenanigans.

These shoes are fantastic. They are stylish and extremely durable. My son is very hard on shoes and these hold up to his rough and tumble play like no other. I wish Zappos carried more in larger sizes (youth 1 and up).

i wanted to love these, but the rim on the tongue of the shoe rubbed my son's leg - he's quite a little bruiser with thick ankles.

Ordered these shoes as stated good with AFO. Barely any of the AFO would fit into the shoe, so did not work at all. They looked cute and seemed to be made of good material.
