Size and fit of this shoe is accurate. I have become a Scarpa fan (although pricing seems to be getting a little out of hand).

This is my out-of-the-box review. I was excited to purchase a premium brand for a change. The shoe is narrow, which works well for me. I usually order a size up for sneakers, and that worked out well too. The construction is solid, if not a little stiff. Hopefully it will loosen up with regular wear. Not sure it's a good value for the price, but it's a very good looking shoe. Not loud, not overstated or over-logoed like so many other athletic shoes.

I wanted to like these shoes. I have another pair of Scarpas (Mojito) and they fit well. Admittedly, I have narrow feet and finding shoes that are not too wide is a challenge. Nevertheless, my Mojitos are medium width and I have no complaints about them. So, I thought that I would try another pair from Scarpa. I was wrong. These are wide...not just a tad wide for me, but much wider than the Mojitos and verging on "clown shoe" wide. And no, adding an insole will not save them for me. I really cannot comment on any other aspect of the product, except that my short "trial" also suggested that the any arch support was also limited. They are going back.
I'd also recommend:
Solomon, Ecco.
