I bought several pairs to replenish my sock drawer, but had to return all but the one I tested. They are too thin and don't provide enough cushion( as much as light). Also, my shoes didn't fit great cb they are sized to fit around a thicker sock. I did keep the pair I tested and really like wearing them doing everything but running.

I have been wearing smartwool socks for 5 years. In fact they're all I wear. I love the brand and quality- 2nd to none. But these socks fall down in the back of my heel and I find myself always pulling them back up from the heel. The ultra light socks also make my feet sweat more than usual. They are cut too high on the top of the instep and too low on the heel. I ordered 6 pairs. My mistake, Should have tried them on first. I usually wear medium but these socks are really tight on top. I'd probably be better off with large but they're too long for me.

The cushioning is very comfortable but the style is cut too low and they slip down toward my heel.

I like these socks, but when I wear shoes with them they come off my heel and get bunched up under my arch. Very irritating.

Used for golfing. Hole at seam after three games. I have two pairs from three years ago that are wearing thin never had a hole. So I'm disappointed but not giving up.

I hate this sock. It’s the worst sock smart wool has made because it doesn’t stay on the feet but slowly begins sliding down. Awful. And I have two of them!
Big mistake.

Sewn so that the fabric puckers into a hard spot on both sides of the heel (on both socks). I was concerned these spots would cause blisters, so I returned them.
I own an older pair of these exact socks that fit properly, but they are starting to wear out so I needed a replacement. The older version fits perfect with no puckering fabric.

They won't stay up in boots or tennis shoes or loafers!!!!! I do not like them at all and plan to return. Your previous low cut sock was much better.

After a just 3 or 4 wearings for exercising (casual jogging or walking etc) they developed holes in various toe area. I originally throught it's my toes or toe nails issue. But that's not the case. Still, this shouldnt happen after a month or two.
I have owned about 10 to 15 pairs of smartwool socks . All my ultra lights share the same durability issues.
Wearing the also the ultralight socks from Icebreaker (which is even thinner ) i did not have these issues. There is clearly a durability issues with smartwool ultralight line.
Despite my purchase is well within smartwool"s 24 month satisfaction warranty period, my warranty claim submission was ignored, not even a reply from smartwool.
Very disappointed.

Very disappointed. I’ve enclosed a photo after the first time wearing these socks. I have many pairs of Smartwool socks and this is the first time that after wearing them on a 3 mile walk, they have a hole in them. Could not recommend them them. I’m glad I returned the other 2 pair. Very disappointed.

constantly slips down on the back of my heel. I love my old smartwool socks but this new design is terrible!

I got 2 pairs of these socks as a replacement for the Smartwool compression socks since I ended up having a hole in them after only 3 runs. Initially the Micro socks felt great and comfortable, nice fit but sadly...after only 3 runs I had a hole in them again. I could already see the fabric starting to thin out after the first run around my big toe. The sizing was proper to my shoe size by the way and my nails are always cut short, even sized them up to Medium since my shoe size falls right in between S and M. No luck for me. Second pair had a hole in the big toe area after 3 runs as well and I had to toss them. I bought a pair of Icebreaker running socks and they haven't let me down yet.

Heel will not stay up...continues to slip off which has rendered the socks unusable. Socks are very low cut which causes my sneakers to rub my skin.

I have a favorite pair which I think were the PHd Light Elite but are now threadbare because I have worn them so much. I recently ordered the PHD Ultra light but after one wear they pilled. I returned them for this reason.

The chang s to the sock don't suit my foot at all. Even with a size large the sock is too small in the toe. Walking uphill I find that the sock slips down at the heel. Very disappointing as I have enjoyed the his product in the past.

I have worn the phd micro socks for years and always loved them and was excited about a new improved design. But I am extremely disappointed because it is unwearable..... The heel slides off within 20 steps every time then bunches up under my feet. At first I thought they just need to be washed, but that did not help after several washings. I always buy 10 at a time and when they wear out I buy 10 more to replace them (I am lazy, and don't like to find matching socks so I get them all the same). Well all of the pairs have done the same thing. I recommend sticking to the old style

First off, I love these socks--the color, fit, feel, etc. Most of my socks are Smartwool and to date, I've never had a problem with any of them. Unfortunately with these, after the second time wearing them, 2 large holes appeared at the top of my big toes, making them unwearable.

As a couple of others have already mentioned, this sock slips down the back of my heel. We all know from elementary school how annoying this is. I like the weight of the sock, but something is wrong with the design. Ski socks are great, but not this one.

I wore these socks once for a 14 mile run and when i was done I had holes at the big toes. I threw them away. I have worn other SmartWool socks that held up better.

I bought a half dozen pairs of these for my trail running shoes, but the height of the micro socks is so low, that when going up hill, the back of the shoe forces the sock down and off my foot. During a Ragnar Trail Run, I had to actually remove the sock and run barefoot it was so bad. So.....be very careful before you buy these.
