I wish Zappos had said it was a Girls jacket. I searched for North Face Zipline, as that is what my son just out grew (also purchased at Zappos) this black jacket came up in the search and said “little kid/ big kids” and I went with a medium as his old one was a small. It was not much larger than his previous one and then he noticed the inside fabric tag said “girls medium” ... I mean, it’s a black rain jacket so it doesn’t look like a specific gender and he decided to keep it because it was solid black, but the sizing due to the gender is a bit of an issue as it won’t last him as long. At any rate - the product is great, but it definitely says girls on the tag.

Does what it's intended to do and has taken toddler abuse in stride.

This is a perfect lightweight rain coat for my 8 year old daughter. She loved the color! Perfect fit!

The jacket is well made and true to size. It has a more fitted shape and doesn’t look bulky but if you want to layer it over a thicker warm layer it might be too tight unless your child is very skinny .

Great jacket! Just what we needed for rainy summer days. Based on other reviews I sized up for my 7 year old who usually wears a size 8. Ordered the 10 and it is huge on her!! We kept it as she will grow into itand can just roll up sleeves a bit for now. Will probably still fit for a good 2 years so worked out well

The description is wrong. The pockets do not have zippers. Otherwise, what I would expect from a TNF jacket.

We bought the small for my 8-year old daughter, who is 49" and about 55 pounds. The fit is very slim on her, yet the sleeves are pretty long. Seems out of proportion and I'm not sure how long it will fit or if she would be able to wear over something other than a t-shirt. I wanted to send it back, but she loves it so we agreed to keep it. She's had a couple chances to wear it in the rain and it seemed to keep her dry.

The jacket is well made and fits my slim 11 year old well. Be forewarned if you are buying the second style. On the Zappos site, the image shown is in the first photo attached. The second is what actually arrived. The resemblance is scant at best. I would've returned it but my daughter liked it well enough. Zappos, please use more accurate images on your product pages.

Runs very small. Size XL 18 barely fits my average sized 13 year old.
