My mom just bought these about two weeks ago, and she loves them! She's nearly 80, has many issues with arthritis in her back and knees, has wide feet, and needs good arch support. She bought the blue ones in a regular width in her regular size and they fit perfectly. She has tried every sort of "orthopedic" shoe--SAS, Vionic, etc--and these are the first shoes she's ever loved from the first wearing. She often wears a wide size ASICS or a wide size Ryka but she doesn't love wearing sneakers everywhere. She finds these Danskos to be more stylish. She takes them off only to sleep and when she's cooking (because she doesn't want to get them dirty), but I think I'm going to buy a pair for her just for cooking because she feels so much better while wearing them. I also love the look of them and will be buying a pair for myself. They do fit more snug than regular Dansko clogs, but for someone with neuropathy in their feet (like Mom), this is extremely beneficial. Don't get me wrong--she usually complains of shoes being too tight or too loose and these fit her just right. Finally, she was amazed by Zappos. She usually spends an hour or more in a shoe store trying on shoes, and she was doubtful that buying shoes online would work. She had never tried these on in a store, but I assured her that shipping was free both ways if she would choose to return them. She is a convert!

I have Morton's Neuroma in my left foot and it's hard to find cool shoes that don't hurt my feet, that have adequate support and/or a removable footbed so that I can put an orthotic in it. I saw these shoes on the Barking Dogs website and rushed to Zappos to buy. I've been in much need of a casual summer shoe when sandals just won't do so I bought the walnut suede color. I typically wear a 9-9.5 or size 40 so I bought the size 40 and they are spot on in fit and were comfortable right out of the box. I'd have like a wee bit more arch support but I've worn these for most of a day and not suffered foot fatigue or had a problem with my toes so it may just be that I'm used to the more extreme arch support of my orthotics so that I think I need more support. The proof however is that I'm able to wear these shoes just fine with the support that comes with the shoe. If I do decide one day to put in one of my orthotics, I can remove the Dansko footbed and do so. These are cool looking shoes. I've had compliments on them already. From a decal in the box, I think that they are scotguarded but I also sprayed them with two coats of rain protector spray made for suede shoes. Not so much for wet weather which doesn't happen often where I live but as a protection against dust and dirt overall. I like these so much, I expect to buy a leather pair in black in the fall. I live in arid lands so don't have to worry much about rain and in fact, the perforations make for cooler feet where I live. That, however, might be a consideration for those who live in more rainy climes. They should choose a more closed Dansko shoe for that kind of climate. Extremely happy with these shoes! And of course Zappos is THE best!

This style is runs narrower than the regular sizing would imply. Found it hard to get my foot in the shoe. Gave up.

So comfortable! At first, I worried they looked a little orthopedic, but as they broke in that went away. Great quality leather, strong support, beefy laces that don't come untied. I want another pair already! I have wide feet, and they were a little tight at first (black leather). But within a couple of wears, they fit great!

I don't get it - Dansko makes a serious clog it's famous for, but all the casual styles of theirs aren't impressive. This one isn't cushy at all, rather stiff. Not the footbed I'd expected. They should offer wide sizes, too.

I really liked the style and feel of this shoe, but the toe box is a bit narrow. In comparison to the Christina, the toe box is much narrower and as a result, I have to return this shoe. Too bad, it's so cute and comfy.

I really like this shoe. It's rather stylish for a casual shoe; nice color. I thought it had good arch support. I'm 66 yrs. old...I think this will work well for me.

These shoes are very, very comfortable, but they are a little orthopedic/geriatric looking. The toe is rounder than it looks in the photo. I bought the walnut suede, which is more of a taupe. A charcoal suede choice would have been ideal. I wear a size 7, have a slightly wide foot, and ordered my usual Dansko 37, which fits with no sock and with a medium weight ankle sock. Since I'm wearing these for casual purposes, the look is not a drawback for me.

I recently purchased a pair of Dansko Sam clogs and they were so comfortable right out of the box--and immediately alleviated ALL pain in my aching feet--that I quickly bought 3 more pair of Danskos and this was number 3! I wore them right out of the box on the first day of a vacation, where I walked several miles a day, 4 days in a row, in forest and city street terrain. They are incredibly comfortable, light weight, supportive and the blue looks fantastic with jeans. I highly recommend!

I had gotten these in a retail store in the white. They're so comfortable for walking that I wanted them in the Walnut Suede. It's nice to be able to travel in these and not feel like I'm wearing sneakers everywhere.

Love these shoes, I bought them in the Walnut shade and couldn't be happier. A nice comfortable shoe that can be worn dressed up also. I love it.

There are a little tighter than normal, can not wear a sock with these, have to wear the little socket. I got my normal size but should have gone up a half a size the shoe felt great on the foot but across the top of the foot very tight. Which has been the problem with Dansko in the past for me, but my friends suggested these tied shoe. I love them great for walking just to tight hoping it will stretch out a lot so I can wear a sock.

These shoes are super cute on my huge size 11 feet, but sadly I had to return them due to fit. I have some newly diagnosed arthritis in the upper portion of my feet and these were not supportive in the right way for me.

I am a huge fan of Dansko Clog Mary-Jane's but was looking for a sneaker style for the spring/summer as the clogs are a bit too heavy for warmer weather. I found the perfect one in Charlie. I bought it in the black leather style and I'm normally a size 8 1/2-9, EU 39 but had to go up to EU 40 in these. I would say these sneakers are a bit more narrow than other Dansko styles so, I would recommend sizing up. I have a narrow foot but wear a regular width in my shoes and needed to go up in size. I’m shocked by some of these reviews bc this is the best Tennis shoe I’ve ever owned! They are super comfortable and for me are best without socks. They provide a great support and the vents in the side keep them super cool so great for summer and not hot like other tennis shoes. I have them in black and about to get them in pink as well. They are super chic looking and honestly just so so comfortable. I have had Dansko clogs in the past and these are better for me in terms of comfort bc I have a high arch. These would be great for traveling and wearing all day with lots of walking.

The Charlie sneaker has great style! Recently I walked through a very upscale shoe department and many on display were similar to this shoe. I bought the Charlie in the green shade and love them. They work nicely with jeans and chino type pants. Worn without socks, the 37 is my usual size in Dansko and these are true to size for me. One concern I had prior to committing to these, was a slight roughness around the top-collar area, only noticable when taking them off. I wear fabulous but expensive support hose and was concerned the "snag" area would ruin the hose. I wore Charlie around the house on carpeting three times. The snags were going to be a problem. That problem was solved by using a fine sand paper/emory board to buff down the few snags. Perfectf! I have many Dankso shoes including 3 pair of the Tamara. I love this stylish sneaker is so modern and chic! Love the superior delivery via Zappos!

Thank you Zappos for the quick and easy ability to try 2 sizes in 2 orders. The 40 was too loose, although I have 2 other pair of similar Dansko I've worn all winter that are 40's and fit perfectly. This shoe didn't fit in the 40- too big, and the 39 was too short. it was very comfortable and had good support; it just didn't fit.

So comfortable and so cute! Lots of compliments on these!

These are super cute! Felt just a little wide but that’s a good thing if I’m walking around in them all day. Love the color-just hope the suede isn’t too hard to keep clean. Definitely have to wear capris or jeggings so the blue denim doesn’t rub onto them.

I normally wear a size 9 M shoes and I do not have wide feet. I ordered a 1/2 size up to make room for my toes and I am glad I did. They fit perfectly and look great. Comfortable arch support, Perfect!

I wish they had more colors and unlike a lot of larger sized sneakers for tall women, they don’t make your feet look big.

I was so happy to finally realize that Dansko made other styles of shoes than the clogs! The Charlie seems a tad longer than the clogs but I wore them all day without any problems, and I am on my feet all day! The material is soft and looks stylish and is well made. Definitely worth the $.

I gave Charlie all 5 stars. I am not used to wearing a closed heel shoe and may try something softer for my first walking shoe.. I am used to Dansko clogs or sandals so this was just too much for me. Otherwise, please try it -- excellent quality.

Much better than snickers,soft leather ,good arch support and very light ,feels like you don't have shoes on.
