Love these new Merrill sandals. The older versions did not have enough support, these do. I have a knee replacement on one knee and the other knee is almost ready for one. I also am having a hip replacement in 10 days needed a good support sandal with easy fastening, so love the Velcro. Merrells are my perfect fit shoe for winter but I had always been disappointed in how thin the support was in their sandals. Finally they have some with the support of their shoes. I hope they come out with more styles with the thicker soles and a under 1" heel. Merrells are my "comfort shoe"

I just read a critical review that said these sandals are made of cheap material. That is simply not true. They are made with the same care and excellent materials that are the standard for Merrell. I have both the leather and the suede, both are really nice. I personally love these sandals. These are just wide enough in front for my slightly wide forefoot, and adjust perfectly in back for my narrow heel. They would probably fit everyone well other than a narrow foot (A width would fall forward through the front non-adjustable strap) or extremely wide foot). They have moderate to good arch support, and the soles are great. They are comfortable and stay on my feet better than slides. They do not flap when I walk - they stay with the foot. That being said, they are not super-sturdy due to the narrower straps. There is some wiggle room. Great for walking around, but I would not go hiking trails in these. I think they are cute, but I'm 54 years old. They do look nice and neat on my feet. No toes sticking out or other weirdness, which is common with straps sandals. They work with jeans or shorts.

Frankly, I was disappointed in these shoes. The materials used make them feel cheap and kind of "blocky" - almost like wearing stiff foam that has no give. They look ok - not particularly stylish - but I wear them very little and I definitely would not buy them again.

I have 6 other pairs of Merrell sandals in various styles, and unfortunately, these did not measure up in style or quality. The straps felt cheap and unstable, and they were too short for reasonable adjustment. Also, the foot bed did not have anywhere near the amount of cushioning that my other sandals have - even the convertible ones with the EVA foot bed. I have walked miles at a time on city sidewalks in my convertible sandals; I don't think I could've walked more than 10 minutes in these shoes without feeling like I was in danger of stepping out of them and turning my foot. Judging by their clogs in the past couple of years and now these sandals, it seems like Merrell is just one more brand that's cutting corners, messing with sizing, and otherwise scrimping on quality. Such a disappointment! But thanks to Zappos for your eternally-great customer service anyway! I'll be back for other products!

It's a little early to leave a review since it hasn't been warm enough to wear these a lot. I am planning on taking them to Italy soon. I wanted a supportive, sporty sandal to trek around on European streets. I tried 3 other Merrell models that all offered support, traction, etc and I settled on these. The footbed is very comfortable and doesn't have the pronounced ridge in the toe area which really hits my smaller foot in the wrong place. I think the arch support is very good, especially compared with most other sandals on the market, and the sole is Merrell super rugged non-slip. They may not be stylish or feminine enough for some women, but I didn't buy them for a dress sandal -- they are all-purpose, trek anywhere shoes and I think they look great in the navy. I find all the Merrell sandals the past few years run about 1/2 size too long, so the 8 fits my 8 1/2 size feet perfectly. The leather straps are soft against my skin and easily adjustable. In other words, I think this will be a perfect summer shoe!!

These sandals offer a great, stylish alternative to the sportier merrell sandals, without giving up any comfort! Lots of adjustable straps to get the right fit, but the strap closest to the toes does not adjust making it feel loose. All in all a great sandal, if not a bit pricey.

These shoes were fantastic from the moment I put them on. I use them for work as I am on my feet all day, up to 21,000 steps a day. They are adjustable in so many ways that you can make them fit your foot perfectly. They give plenty of cushion and support. I have just ordered a second pair in brown for the fall.

I have super narrow feet and need an adjustable strap at the toe. They're very nice shoes.

I have these sandals in black and really like them. very comfortable. I ordered the navy and had to return them because they are so dark they look like my black ones. other than the color these are great sandals.

Had hoped this would work, but I need a wide.

These were purchased last summer for a very vigorous tour around Italy for several weeks. I broke them in lightly before the trip and didn't get a single blister on 10 hour days touring, walking and in the hot sun. My feet also never hurt at all , considering how much we walked - around 20,000 steps daily - I was very impressed. While they aren't the most feminine shoes, they get the job done. Believe me comfort is way more important that cuteness on a major European vacation. The last thing you want are problems with your feet and blisters. I plan on taking them this summer on yet another European vacation for several weeks because they worked so well for me last time. They have moderate arch support and the bottoms are hardy like boots so they do great in all terrains even moderate nature hiking.

These pair of sandals are just what I was looking for. Zappos´service is excelent too.

Sometimes when you try on a shoe, you just know it's right. This is a cute and comfortable sandal. I really appreciate the many ways the straps can be adjusted.

This is an update to follow my previous review. I have been wearing these sandals around town to get used to them and they are no longer rubbing the side of my foot. They are going to Italy!!!!

I bought these sandals to take on an up-coming trip to Italy. I need flat sandals and wanted a backstrap so I don't have to worry about twisting an ankle! These are quite comfortable and supportive, and they fit well. My only concern is that make contact with the inner side of my foot in a place none of my other do. I am trying to wear them quite a bit to get used to that, in preparation for extensive walking.

Merrill is one of my go-to brands and I am pleased with this purchase. After adjusting the straps to fit, the shoes are very comfortable with good arch support and a cushioned heel strike that is important to me because I wear these shoes for my daily walks which include sand roads, paved roads and the beach. The shoes are also very lightweight which adds to the comfort factor.

These sandals are nice looking and relatively comfortable (I could be picky about comfort) so I kept them and have been wearing them around town. I don't believe I could wear them for hours and hours of walking but for standard shopping and around the house they are good. Being a bit lazy perhaps, I do dislike the "effort" required to put them on as the strap nearest the ankle doesn't come entirely undone and the shoe can't be slipped on. A pretty minor complaint, right? All in all, as I said, a keeper. I do want to add a 'love letter' to Zappos here. When I ordered these originally, I received one Adhera Three Strap 11 and one from an entirely different pair (really different!) which in and of itself was very unlike Zappos. I opted for an exchange since I wanted the Adhera Three Strap but I did want a pair. Well, Zappos sent me a pair of the shoes I wanted immediately without charging my credit card again, nor did they want the original pair back first. In fact, it was a couple of days before I got the mismatched pair to the UPS store by which time I was already wearing the matched pair. Great service guys!

I ordered size 8 to fit my 7.5 feet. The 8's are a bit loose but with the adjustable straps they will suffice. They're a bit too clunky to be fashionable but are oh so very comfortable. These sandals are for walking (lots and lots of walking) and light hiking so I do wish the insole/footbed was black rather than such a light color. I shudder to think what they will look like by mid-summer. I also wish more Merrell shoes came in half sizes. I love Merrell's and would buy more if I could find more that fit. Comfort over fashion for these, but that's what I want in performance sandals.

I liked the soft and adjustable straps, and the soft sole. However, the middle strap was too narrow for my foot and rubbed my foot at the base of the strap, so I had to return them.

Very comfortable and looked great on foot. Back strap hit my ankle making it hurt so sending back.

Sadly, I am returning these shoes. They look like a great casual summer sandal. But, I wear a 9M and it this shoe, my toe is sliding all. The ankle clasp rubs a little bit on my ankle bone when it is tightened to make the back snug enough. It's just a bit too wide all over for me.

this is my 3rd try to get a navy sandal and my 3rd failure. there was nothing right about this sandal. they are so dark that they don't look navy unless you hold them up against black. I need a half size and these do not come in half sizes. I went up 1/2 size but they were too loose. don't understand why sandal makers think they can get by with only making whole sizes in sandals. thanks Zappos for letting me try.

Not enough support for my sensitive feet post surgery. Sorry, because they're cute..
