Purchased for active daily wear while on spring break at the beach. The shoe was very comfortable with a solid Vibram sole, but unfortunately the crossover strap anchor point broke on day one of the vacation. I was able to modify the strapping to continue wearing. On day six, the other shoe broke in the same place. Returning shoes and seeking different model as this is appears to be an unfortunate design flaw.

I thought these looked great and thought they were exactly what I was looking for. However, after wearing these too a party and standing in them for several hours, my feet hurt. My feet felt cramped and the shoes seemed too narrow. I couldn't wait to get them off!!

These sandals felt a little big. Nylon strap hit little toe in a bad spot. May be just my feet but had to return them.

I bought these shoes for a river rafting trip, and they were perfect. After I got home, they were nice sturdy sandals for walking all day and even some yard work. Unfortunately, one of the plastic rings the straps go through broke on our morning walk about two months after I purchased them. I am glad Zappos has such an easy return policy. I was really surprised, because Merrell has typically had very high-quality shoes.

Loved these sandal for the 3 days I was able to wear them. They are very comfortable, easy to put on and take off and have plenty of traction for anything you plan on walking on. Unfortunately, one of the strap anchors, which is made from thin plastic, broke on the back of the shoe. I had read this is happened to a few others, and sure enough, happened to me as well. Basically, all you have to do it hit your heal on the ground firmly with your leg moving backwards, and this plastic will break. Very poor design and clearly never tested before going to market. Merrell knows better. Also, I would never pay $100 for these. Not worth it. I paid $55 and that seems more appropriate.

Don't buy these sandals unless you have long narrow feet ! I read the negative reviews and still put my trust in Merrell to provide a quality product. Boy, was I wrong ! I spent over an hour trying to adjust the straps so my feet would accommodate the sandal with no luck. The straps only have one place to attach, I couldn't make them smaller without the straps sticking out and Velcro exposed. The plastic loops were placed right where my toe was and it started to rub instantly. The style drew me to them but after having them on my feet I was disappointed. Unnecessary webbing makes no sense. I have a lot of Teva sandals and they are far superior in every way to these Merrells. I wanted to like these sandals and thought they looked like they would be comfortable, but they were not, and they squeaked and rubbed when I walked. I have purchased many Merrell shoes in the past and have been satisfied, but these really missed the mark ! Probably the worst sandals I have ever owned. Unfortunately, I had to send them back, but I can rely on Zappos great return policy, so that's a good thing !
