Though I haven't tested these boots yet for hiking or for their waterproofness, I do find these boots to be comfortable upon light use. Many boots like these are not comfortable (for example, I do not find Merrells to be supportive). They lace up easily and they feel like they will be warm in the cooler months (perhaps too warm for summer). I have narrow feet for a man so perhaps others may find the width too small.

NARROW!! I already own the Asolo TPS 520 GV Evo boots. They fit my wide (man's) feet very well. The Thyrus GVs look and fit as if they were sized for narrow (women's) feet.

Great boot for my slightly narrow foot. I live in the mountains and these boots perform well. Will definitely buy another pair

I am generally an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe. The 8.5 fits me perfectly. I liek shoes a little on the narrow side, and Medium widths are sometimes still too wide for me. These felt just right. I cannot give any review of the long term durability of them as I just got them, but the thing to know is that I would not really call these a "boot". They feel more like a high-top hiking shoe. They are MUCH lighter and more flexible and compliant around the ankle than you would think by looking at them. But for what I wanted, that is a very good thing.

Boots fit extraordinarily well right out of the box. Lighter than I expected and I love the sole. I am going to add some additional waterproofing and hit the trails for long hikes here in Arizona.

So this is what a real hiking boot feels like.. money well spent!

I love these boots. I have "normal" sized feet so I am not sure where this 1-star review is coming from. The boots are tremendously comfortable and waterproof for me. I hiked Mount Is this weekend outside of Seattle and hadn't worn these boots yet, they held up very well and I was very impressed with how comfortable they were. They got muddy, wet, dirty, but I never slipped, I developed no blisters or any problems with my feet at all. The day started off cold and wet - my feet were dry and warm. The day got warmer and humid and my feet did not overheat and they stayed dry still. I have been a loyal Asolo customer for years, but I haven't bought much - their products just last that long.
