These are FANTASTIC!! I ordered 6 pairs of flat black over the knee boots and these were the hands down winner. This is the third season I have attempted to find flat over the knee boots that would not look foolish on my very slender legs. These actually stay up due to a piece of sewn in elastic hidden right below the knee. There is no bunchiness around the ankle. I am thrilled, truly so happy to have found these boots for $200. I would NOT recommend these for anyone that does not have very thin legs. For reference, my calf measures 12.5" at the widest part, and about 14.5" two inches above my knee. I hope this review is helpful!

I LOVE these boots. They are a true size 7. Dolce Vita shoes fit my arch perfectly and I have a very difficult time finding comfortable shoes. The graphite gray is gorgeous, very dark. Sadly I will be returning these boots. I am 5' 4" about 125lbs with athletic frame. The top portion of the boot hugs my muscular calves very tight, like a tight sock. My teenage daughter (very thin legs) tried these on and they looked much better on her thinner legs. She could tuck her tights into the boot but I couldn't. They are very comfortable but I want to swap them for a pair with a roomier shaft that I can tuck my tights into. These are absolutely perfect for dresses.

These boots are lux, sexy and comfy. Great with jeans or a skirt! Tried the Stuart Weismann similar boots and though triple the price they are awesome. For the price these are great.

I saw these first on Nordstrom; I searched for wide calf over-the-knee boots (I have 16" ish calves) and these were the first result since they are a new release. I read the reviews but still was hesitant because I couldn't imagine these fitting my legs, but they do! The suede is really soft so it acts and feels like I'm putting on a stocking rather than a shoe. The sizing is true-to-size as well. I usually go for a 8 in boots but I decided on my actual size, 7.5, and it fits with no issues. The tie is a bit difficult to do since it's behind my leg, but once I actually am able to tie it tightly, the movement is minimal. If I tie it too loosely, the thigh part falls down as I walk. I can imagine these being a problem through-out my day. Though, there's an elastic below the knee to help keep it up for the most part.

When I received these boots I had to go back and check the description because they do not look like real suede. If your not particular about that, then maybe from further away they may pass for suede but not up close IMHO. The material is very thin and although it feels soft, it feels more like a fabric than suede. The color is a mix of a chocolate brown and charcoal and it is darker than it appears in the picture. **If you have a high arch or anything other than a bird leg do not bother ordering these. The description says 16" circumference, not even close. I have an average size calf and these boots were near impossible to pull on. The boot part doesn't have much structure by the heel and it felt as if it was bending like cardboard when trying to get my foot into it. These are going back pronto!

The description for the boot states these are "suede leather upper." These are definitely NOT suede leather upper, but rather micro suede fabric. If they had been actual suede leather I would have kept them, as the style and color are just what I was looking for. I have slim legs and struggle finding boots that don't hang off my calves and thighs. These were the perfect diameter and fit snuggly around my leg. If you don't mind wearing micro suede fabric boots, then I recommend these. If you prefer genuine suede, keep looking.

I agree with one of the other reviews. These smell like microfiber and when you rub your hand up and down the boot it looks like you are wearing a microfiber couch! Very bad quality for Dolce Vita! I have narrow calves and legs as the other reviewer and I feel that the drawstring will not stay up as well. These fit my calves decent but they bunched up around the ankle and the string is a pain to tie in the back in my opinion. If you are trying to find a boot in the same price point, the Sam Edelman is much better with the toggle closure.

Boots are good quality and very trendy. There is an elastic band just around the knee that helps keep the boots up. They fit true to size, I usually wear an 8 and the 8 fits perfect but they are pretty tight in the calf/leg area. My legs are not stick skinny and so I can just barely fit jeans under the boots but tights and leggings will probably easier to fit underneath.

Great boot! Fits my narrow calves. The slouched affect is cute at the top of the boot. Stays tied all day long too!

They were actually very pretty. But they are a microfiber with a funky smell. Couldn't get over that, so had to ship them back.
