New Balance shoes are too wide at the heel. MUCH too wide, even when I buy a narrow width. I can't wear shoes that come off with every step.

I would have sent these back, but they took so long to arrive - nearly two weeks. I needed them for gym workouts and had been waiting (and waiting). After the lockdowns I just wanted to get back into working out. First: There is a flaw in the leather on the left shoe, the top toe part - see picture. It was quite wrinkled right out of the box and remains so. It isn't a small thing. If I ordered a "second," this was not reflected in the price ... Second: I ordered my usual size but these may be as much as a size too large. Oddly, a couple of months ago I bought a second New Balance sneaker I like, the 574, also in my usual size. They barely fit and are almost too small to wear. What happened to New Balance ?! You were always my go-to brand.

My only complaint is I wish they were lower at the heel and I know that is personal preference for my own feet and legs.

I need a good walking shoe that can be used with orthotics. Also I need soft leather in the toe area to prevent bunion pain. This model 857v2 ticks off all the boxes. It was comfortable from day one. No need to break them in. I am very happy with this product.

Everything I didn't know I needed in a cross-training shoe. Have excellent support for my ankles and does a great job of being a versatile training shoe from indoor rowing, weightlifting and walking. The only downside is the original stiffness due to the leather outside but once broken in they are great.

I do CrossFit 3 times a week and these shoes are comfortable and support my foot during all the different movements, I would love to see more colours available for people with wider feet, instead of just black or white just saying.

I only wear New Balance 857 cross trainers. I am so pleased that they are still available since the styling and the support are incredible. I usually buy them two pairs at a time. They are the most comfortable, quality walking shoe you can buy! I have worn them daily for years andhope they never are replaced.

It is very hard to find workout shoesxin narrow widths. I usually shop at Road Runner Sports but they had nothing in my size. I'm glad I checked Zappos.

I've purchased these for years - they comfortably hold my orthotics and give me the support I need.

I am on my feet 10-11 hours a day, walking 10,000 steps. Less quality shoes hurt my feet, 8 don't have that problem with New Balance. The 857 are my favorite. They give me good support and have stabilization. I walk on the outsides of my feet and tend to roll my ankles, these shoes correct that.

I have bought this shoe for years to wear to aerobics class. Whenever one pair wears out, I buy another. I have a narrow foot and appreciate that it is made in narrow widths, rather than having to rely on tying the laces tighter.

I always hesitate to buy shoes online without trying on, but these are true to size. The support feels great...I have an artificial knee and arthritis in my ankles and I always need the NB 800 series with the roll bar and they always do the trick.

These are THE most comfortable walking shoes I have bought in a long, long, long time. So comfortable that I bought a second pair in black for the evenings!

These sneakers are perfect for my feet and body. I do dance for exercise 3 to 4 times per week and I need stabilization for my feet and knees. They are wonderful so I purchase them again and again.

I purchase these for my son who has a very narrow foot and whose foot's ankle rolls over to touch floor. Thses shoes keep his footvstraight and supported. They are narrow enough also.

These shoes are great for work and play, the stability is amazing, I wear the xxwide and these are the only shoe with the toe room I desperately need. The only thing I might ask is that the laces be longer, I lace all the way up and have braces for both ankles and its just not enough.

I really enjoy New Balance shoes in general, but I wear these solely working out in the gym. They feel great on my feet. When I am wearing them I don't experience knee or back pain :)
