A lovely shoe. I normally wear a 42 or a US 9 wide; these were marked UK size, 9w which FinnComfort equates with a 43 or US 9.5. Indeed, they were a bit longer than my 42 size Finns, but they were hardly wide. Indeed, they fit like a medium and were too narrow. Sadly, I had to return them. They even had a waterproof layer which wasn’t mentioned in the information.

Heaven sent and worth every penny. These hiking booties are crazy supportive and comfortable, like walking on air, cliché accepted. I bought the Finn Comfort top of the line Tibet full hiking boot last year. Base of that and this seem the same. Great engineering! The new Murnau deeper black color looks great with black pants. And the shorter height makes it more versatile for casual use. Wow, if I could wear this sole/base year round in every situation, I would. Make a dress or high heeled 'hiking boot', Finn Comfort? I'd buy it. (I say half size smaller than marked, but for me that's typical in a closed toe boot/shoe if I want to wear medium socks. If your toes are short and straight and you don't have bunions/Taylor's bunions, actual size may work great for you.)
