The leather is quite soft and stretches out with wear. After a week of wearing them, one of the pull tabs tore off. After 2 weeks they've received a lot of nicks and scratches from walking about town.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for, and at a great price. The leather is quality, the look is rugged but refined. The fit was great and the boots felt broken in and comfortable in no time. The padding on the insoles is good, but won't last long under the weight of a heavy, 6'3" guy like me. It looks like I might be able to remove and replace it with my own insoles, but not sure. Also: the outer sole of this boot is replaceable, which is awesome!

Wow !!!! Talk about some great customer service! I received these boots and immediately put them on, unfortunately as I pulled one of the boots on by the rear strap, it tore free from the back of the boot. Bummer fer sure! One call to Zappos and the excellent customer service center in Las Vegas knocked it out of the park with a great solution. I've always been a fan of Zappos but now I'm never going anywhere else for my shoes! Great to know that Zappos supports it's customer so strongly. A+++++

So I really want to like these boots, but there are some serious quality control issues with Eastland's chinese suppliers. First up, I've handled 4 pairs of these boots now and 3 of them have been defective... Apparently there is a common issue with the rivet on the top lugs. 2 of the 4 pairs had a bad strike and the lug pops out the moment you pull the laces tight. Also, something to watch out for, the lace loop on the tongue is stitched oddly. They sew the top of the loop first and then fold it over the stitch and then sew the bottom on. The downside of this is if you pull the laces up towards your self you'll rip through the leather. Pull the laces sideways to avoid doing so... Another issue is that in one of the pairs they used the wrong size insole. They put an 11 insole in a 11.5 boot. The size was dead on for me. These boots fit like a glove at 11.5. The insole, when the right size, is comfy. And the boot has a nice style. A good blend between dress boot and everyday boot. I just wish the manufacturer wouldn't let so many bad shoes slip through. Zappos support was amazing though. Wish I could rate them separately.

Truly love these boots...enough room in the toe but not too big, quiet soles, quality leather, great style. I have worn them very often since receiving them...they are my new favorites.

Fit was spot on. Good ankle support. Comfortable for a boot.

They make the impression of really nice boots for the price. The leather is great and they look good. Unfortunately, the fit lacks. While the sizing was generally correct, my heel was moving up and down - even with thick socks and tying them tighter.
