Zappos is positively my favorite company online or wherever. I bought these boots because I needed comfy footwear while visiting New York this past holiday season. As with all born boots these fit perfectly. After wearing them on a shopping trip I took them off and left them on the living room floor. When I awoke the next morning a big chunk was eaten out of the left boot. I was sick because my trip was eminent and me with no flat sole boots. I called zappos and not only did they sympathize they quickly sent me a new pair of boots calling my first pair defective which I guess they were. No additional cost and a new pair of boots the next day. I call that amazappos

Definately runs small, but the half size larger is perfect. Very comfortable- no breaking in required. Look great with jeans!

These are my favorite shoes I have ever owned, literally ever. I wear them every single day. The soles are cushion-y with appropriate arch support and the ankle height gives awesome ankle support too! They really are narrower than advertised, though. I am normally a 6, but thanks to reading previous reviews, decided to purchase a 6 & 6.5 just in case...I sent the size 6 back. Too narrow. Unless you have a freakishly pencil thin foot, just go a half size up. Returning the smaller size wasn't an issue (Zappos is great!), but knowing now what I didn't then, it's not even worth ordering your normal shoe size. Half size up, for sure! Also, they are leather so they definitely need to be worn in to feel perfect. The first day or two and your toes may feel a bit claustrophobic (I had to wear thinner socks than normal), but totally worth it! Seriously, I love these shoes so much. Sometimes I don't even take them off right when I get home because they are THAT comfortable. Also, cute AF without all that extra trendy crap that *fashion* boots do. Like, who needs a buckle AND a zipper?! I wear these to the office, in dresses, in jeans, with black, brown or whatever. I was a bridesmaid a couple of weeks ago and a strap on one of my wedges broke, but guess what? I had these boots for back up! When I get irritated or insecure now, I just look down at my feet and feel better. These boots are what I've been dreaming of.

Love the roughed out finish and clean simple style of this boot. Zippers on both sides for easy on off and very very comfortable!

Loved these boots in brown. So comfy. But I’ve had them two months and saw another review with the cracked sole so checked mine and one was cracked the same. So sad because I was going to order the grey. Now I have to return and know why my foot was wet today!

Beautiful, comfy boot that I initially loved. However, after two months the sole cracked completely open. I expected more from this brand.

I'm a florist and these boots arrived the week of Valentine's Day....meaning, I'm on my feet for 12 hours a day ~ they saved me. So comfortable and did not need any breaking in. Love these boots!

I don’t usually write reviews. However, since reading reviews helped me pick these boots I wanted to contribute my experience in case others could benefit. I was looking for a boot that I could wear daily while working as a caregiver. I am on my feet for hours at a time sometimes. I wanted something more durable than athletic shoes. The first pair of boots I tried initially felt comfortable, but the heel was slightly raised. This ended up causing a lot of knee pain, and worse, I began to have problems with plantar fasciitis. It actually became extremely painful to wear them. I decided to take one more chance and based on reviews here at Zappos I tried these. First, they do run small. Based on reviews and Zappos recommendation I went with a size 7 although I normally wear a size 6.5 in most brands. As mentioned in other reviews, the size 7 fit well. I wouldn’t say “perfect”. The width is good, the toe box is wide enough not to scrunch my toes (a factor in plantar fasciitis is scrunched toes in shoes), but the shoe is a little long in that my heel moves around a little. But it is easy to adjust them into place. This is the reason for 4 stars for comfort rather than five. Your foot may not have this problem. The width is perfect, and feels stable. The footbed is contoured and very comfortable. I was actually surprised at how comfortable it was. It is leather, and sewn in, but that actually allows for each area of the foot to be supported seperately. This means they were able to create a footbed that cushions the ball of the foot differently than the arch or heel. It is very comfortable without being squishy. My heel rests at a very natural angle in these boots. Not elevated. Which for my needs is perfect. It allows for comfortable movement, without strain on my feet. In elevated heels it feels like I’m forced to walk on my toes, which after hours on a tile floor gets very uncomfortable. So to sum all that up, these boots are super comfortable. I also love the style. They are something I can wear because I love the way the look, AND they are probably the most comfortable boots I ever put on out of the box. Most boots require breaking in. One last note. After wearing these for my normal evening of cooking and cleaning in a kitchen, running up and down stairs and standing for periods of time these boots actually felt MORE comfortable at the end of the day. So they are breaking in. Even more of a blessing is that when I took them off my feet didn’t hurt for the first time in a long time. It is like having the right shoe helped heal the strains causing my foot and knee pain. So if you’re looking for a stylish boot that might just become the best companion your feet ever had these are worth a try!

Before I write the review of this shoe; can I just say how amazing Zappo's is? Honestly, I have never experienced such great, friendly & well spoken customer service in my life- and I am a repeat customer so I talk to them often. The CEO of this company is a truly fair & cool human being. They do a Lot for the community & all online business's should follow suit. So.. on to the shoes... They are as great looking in person, seem super well made, but run a half size small. I recently bought a different Born shoe & the same thing happened so I'm starting to think that on their chelsea & ankle boots; they run a bit small. I am a 9 and am exchanging again for 9.5. Because this shoe is wider than the last one's I ordered (Born: Adler) I thought maybe they would be truer to size. LOVE the shoe, just order a half size larger, especially if you have a wider foot (which I don't, but am just thinking that if you do you will definitely need to order larger.) Overall they are awesome though!

Great boot! I ordered size 9 1/2 and a 10 because when I order my size (9 1/2) and I need the bigger one it is always sold out. The 10 fit perfect so they run 1/2 size smaller than my size. If you have wide feet order a full size larger. So comfy and I love the small cushioned arch support. They do stretch out, slightly, as I wear them making them even better.

It's tempting to mark these a little narrow, but after wearing them a couple of times they formed very nicely to my feet. Needed to use both zippers the first couple of time I wore them, but soon the leather softened and now I only need to use the inside zippers. I am really happy with these shoes and they keep my feet warm. Very comfortable after a couple of wears. Look great. Lot's of complements.

I was super happy with these boots but I’ve gone through two pairs and both lasted only a couple months before they had huge cracks in the soles.

these are the best short boots ever! at first, they were a bit snug, but that's bc of the great quality leather Born uses. after 3 wears, they are stretching out to fit perfectly. Just wear them and they will break in. Love them!

I love this boot! I am normally size 8.5 but size 9 fit much better.

Have only had them a week, but they look very well-built and feel great. Very comfortable and snug. I always order 1/2 size up in Born and these for sure! Love that the sole is stitched not glued. Hope the sole is not a problem as they other two reviewers showed. Love the styling...works great with jeans, pants, and skirts/tights.

Love the look. Soft leather. Hard to get on if you have high arches and the back of the heel is hard and doesn’t give when trying to get in. Once on, great fit. Ordered half size up. Could have gone a full size up. I have had bunion surgery, and it fit well and was comfortable.

I love these boots, they are so comfortable I can wear them all day. I have been looking for low boots for a long time, so glad that I found these. My biggest disappointment is that I waiting buy another pair and no one has them in my size. Hopefully I can get another pair next year.

Love these! They were my favorite of the bunch I ordered. Ridiculously comfy. Make my large feet look a little big (but they are so I can't blame them for that!). Love Born!!

Love love love these! So comfortable! I have no doubt that I could walk around town straight away without breaking these in. Plenty of room in the toe box. Style is good too although with my large feet (size 10.5/11) they do look a little manly on me but oh well, comfort is more important to me! I ordered a pair in taupe and ended up keeping those but I would have kept both pair if I had the money!

I love these booties! Super comfortable and look adorable! I want to get another pair in a different color! The site is easy to navigate and shipping was fast!

This is my second pair to get a good fit, had to return the first pair. I ordered my usual size shoe but I could not wear them. Too tight, too short. When I got the larger size I put them on and was able to wear them for half a day comfortably. Next day all day. Am looking forward to wearing these nearly everywhere that I don't wear my dress boots. Great buy! Just size up.

I love these shoes! They are my first pair of Born shoes and I wish I would have bought them sooner. I ordered a half size up from my regular size and they fit perfectly. I’m glad I read the other reviews before I ordered. The two zippers make it easy to get them on and off. I just wish they had them in black.

I don’t usually write reviews but I was compelled on this one given all the sizing issues and comments on being too narrow. I sized up from 8.5 to 9 given the reviews and they fit perfect! There are 2 zippers, one on each side, which make it so easy to get them on and off. I have average to wider feet and the width was perfect. They are incredibly comfortable (nice fusion) and very nice quality. They are a great casual, but stylish boot. Looking forward to wearing them a lot- thanks Born!

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I almost ordered a size up from my usual because of all the reviews saying they run small, but my feet are on the narrower side (not super narrow, just a little) and they're in between a size 7.5 and an 8, so I took a gamble and ordered the 8. It was perfect. They're also cuter in person than I expected and so supportive. This is my first pair of Born boots, so I can't compare them to others from this brand, but the quality seems amazing and I'm sooooo happy I got them.
