The Frye Weston charcoal suede chukka boots are exceptional in their craftsmanship and style. They are certainly consistent with other fine Frye shoes and boots I have purchased. They are constructed to last for many years, and they have a protective rubber insert on the bottom sole that is convenient, traction-wise, especially on leather-soled boots. They will be a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

These are very comfortable boots and I'm happy with the style and craftsmanship of the boot itself. My only complaint is that the laces are ridiculously long. I had to cut 5" off from each side (10" total) so that the bow wouldn't hang down to the ground. This meant losing at least one of the aglets at the end of the laces, by the way. These are pretty thick laces, so even if I tried double-tying the bow it created a huge, unattractive knot. Interestingly enough, none of the photos or the video for this boot show the laces tied in a bow. The bow and excess lace is instead hidden inside the boot or behind the pants leg.

These are some of the best looking shoes I have ever had. Looks wise it is worth the price, however, after a few hours of wear, I started getting blisters near the heel of the foot. I love the way they look so much that I am trying leather softener to help with this problem. Any advice on how I can fix this will help since they are such a good looking shoe.
