I have these shorts in blue and Elwood; they are well constructed and comfortable. The taper is just right and the inseam falls at the knee. I really like the tapered leg as regular short legs billow around my legs even though I work out regularly. Since I'm in my 50s, I was mildly concerned whether they would look age-appropriate. They look great with an untucked polo or casual button down shirt as well as t-shirts.

Nice shorts, but I had to return them. Sizing through the quads was really tight and uncomfortable. If you squat, these shorts might not work for you.

The dimensions described of these shorts on Zappos are not correct. I purchased size 34 and the outseam & inseam are actually an 1-1.5 inches shorter than in the description (which is based on size 32). Plus the waist runs a size small, ie: size 34 is actually 32.
